Wrath's implementation

So I’m not sure if anyone but Blizzard can answer this, but:

  1. Will there be a Classic Wrath of the Lich King?
  2. Will World First achievements become available in Classic Wrath, or only Server Firsts?
  3. Will we be allowed to create more than 10 characters per server? If so, how many?
  4. Will there be a Cataclysm or beyond?
  5. Will level 60 Onyxia disappear upon implementation of Wrath Pre-Patch, or will it only become a level 80 dungeon later on in Wrath phases?

What do you guys think?

  1. I expect there will be sometime next year.
  2. If these achievements have existed prior to Wrath, then I think not since we will likely have our TBCC toons cloned so we can either proceed to Wrath Classic or leave them on TBCC, or pay to have them in both places.
  3. probably not. that limit didn’t change until Mists
  4. Subs started a nose dive during cata so I suspect not.
  5. I expect Onyxia will follow the path she did in wrath, i.e., Patch 3.0.2: Since Lady Katrana Prestor is no longer in game, the attunement is lifted for both factions. As such, it is no longer necessary to have the Drakefire Amulet in your inventory to enter.
    Patch 3.2.2: Onyxia’s Lair has been retuned for level 80 players because of World of Warcraft’s 5th birthday.

I mean weren’t there multiple levels of achievement: realm first, world first, and a personal completion? Such as a feat of strength “Realm First! Grand Master Engineer” and personal profession skill “Highest Engineering skill”… wasn’t there also a world first?

Oh! So that’s when it happened! I recognized on illegal servers they had more than 10 and thought it was a legitimate feature as of WotLK. Thank you for clarifying that.

Do you actually think they will give us two separate Onyxias instead of just the one from the start?

  1. Hadn’t considered that. If there are achievements for things like grand master [your favorite profession here], then, yeah, probably will be some of those ‘firsts’.

  2. It will depend on what patch they decide to base the initial release on. I can see it going both ways.

They’ve based the first 2 Classic releases on the latest patch of the expansion. It’s likely we will get the last patch of WotLK. By then, the ret paladins and DKs were a little more balanced.

Agreed, and that’s also why I was wondering about Onyxia…

Onyxia will probably be gated. Wasn’t she added in mid-late WotLK?

Yes but the point is that she was available to 60’s until she suddenly became 80 content half way through Wrath… seeing as it’ll likely be a latter end patch for the entirety of wrath, it’s likely she won’t be available to anyone until she’s ready for 80’s.
