Never was.
Just had to wait for the last wing to come out and the quest was unlocked for everyone regardless of raid status.

I knew Wrathion from back in MoP and he reappeared a few times before Dragonflight. Sabellion felt like a new upstart to me, so I supported Wrathion first, then for “completion” I maxed Sabellion’s reputation as well.

I have a feeling there’s going to be some bull where the entire thing is rendered moot by some story event and the two begrudgingly get along and both become the ‘Aspect’, or rather, the aspect title is pointless for what’s left of the black dragonflight.

That or Ebyssian gets the title, but that’d require Blizzard to actually remember he was, in fact, a character.

Which do you pick? Personally I prefer the handsome devil to the nagging usurper who abandoned azeroth for years but that’s just me.

No, it’s not even a choice between Sabellian and Wrathion. Wrathion should be the aspect. He and Ebonhorn are the only ones who underwent tempering to prevent the Old Gods taking them over. The second an Old God wakes up and finds an unprotected Dragon, there’s a new Deathwing.

No bodyguards, no other dragons, no Aspect power. Let’s also assume Sabellian isn’t secretly corrupted (he totally is). Sabellian and Wrathion get tired of each other and start ripping each other apart. Who wins?

So, why not make it a player event? A vote will pop up when player login. Set a vote tracker on website, make it more engaging for players. When the vote ends, we should have a server wide event celebrating whoever wins. Event can include winner making a vitory speech, while loser tries to challenge it. Make it a spectular showdown and all kinds fun stories spawn. I would love to see WoW engaging player base in this way.

The only locked rarespawn opening up almost constantly on my server at least is the Wrathion Key turn in rarespawn. I don’t even know what Sabellian’s rarespawn is as I have yet to see it get unlocked, I event saw the World Breakers rare spawn get unlocked before Sabellian’s.

Lets discuss something important: The next Black Dragon Aspect. At the moment we have 3 important figures who can become the new Aspect of the Earth, and they are Ebyssian, Sabellian and Wrongthion. A minority demands and cry for Wrongthion to be the next Black Dragon Aspect, but he doesnt deserves it, why? Lets see: He is impatient, pretencious and arrogant. What no one talks about but some people know, is that being an Aspect involves a lot of paperwork, late hours, low pay and no prestige.

It’s just a title and when things go wrong, everyone blames you because you hold the title.

Are you late? Ebyssian is sitting on the Seat and I wholeheartedly support that while Wrathion and Sabellian (if he doesnt turn bad) remain underdog badasses of the black flight.
