Like I said, it looks great, but you can see some of the cloning of assets without the randomization youâd see in a comparable modern cinematic. And again, a lot of things happen in isolation, which I think is the most telling. You can see, for instance, the dwarf pat the bear, but thereâs not a lot of other movement for that because of how hard it was to make it look good.
Compare that to the dwarf patting her dragon in the new cinematic where you can see tissue âdisplacedâ and a more naturalistic movement as part of a longer cut.
Time marches on, and so does cgi.

A lotta that is actually simulated. Watched a few animators do that and its quite funny to notice since sometimes it gets a bit silly. Useful tool at least

Oh I was just whipping up a quick example of the fur simulated stuff. That stuff is all done by one dude compared to blizz and whomever they hire for those big fancy trailers.
they havent fully rendered elves since vanilla cinematic either. must be hard to do. maybe its the glowy eyes that is the problem

Reminds me of how sometimes the in game cutscenes had Tyrandeâs glowy eyes act a bit weird

she doesnt look like a blood elf either and the glowy part is only visible in last frame set. most of the time it just looks like she has green eyes . timestamped.
