Couldn’t care less what you think! You can keep guessing and making assumptions. It’s free entertainment for me.
You keep necro’ing threads to try and remain relevant.
Does it make you feel good?
I don’t understand this kind of post.
Because you’ve bumped the thread which gives it an extended shelf life. So truly you must have an urge of twisted design to leave this comment.
Pretty rich coming from someone that trolls the forums on at least three characters.
And yet you prove my point once more. You have the compulsive behavior of an insincere hypocrite
Christie Golden said “They’re just friends in my work” and that “it’s been established Anduin likes girls” which doesn’t actually mean anything for the potential canonicity of the Anduin x Wrathion ship.
Supposedly in Heroes of the Storm, one of the lines spoken by Deathwing when killing Anduin is “I don’t know what Wrathion sees in you” so obviously Blizzard isn’t trying very hard to get people to stop thinking about them as potential lovers
I didnt say the author meant it in any way other than to slip the Wrathion+Anduin people a little fuel.
You dont write; “Wrathion promises Anduin that when he gets older he would love for him to climb upon his back” without a little wink to those people you know are drooling over this fan-pairing.
Its genius in that it keeps them talking about your work and holding out for more. Win/win for the author.
Exactly… toss these little tidbits out every once in a while to keep those people interested.
It can be as simple as an: “Anduin’s gaze lingered on Wrathion as he departed and wondered what the future may hold for their friendship.” to whip these folks into a frenzy.
Friendly reminder that Wrathion is 6 years old.
Hi T.
You get that seeing something in someone doesn’t mean any sexual right? Just like when someone punches another person for killing their father.
When the author already said no, when it has been shown he likes girls, it’s cannon.
What you have is fan fiction. Glad we could clear this up. Also stop.
He’s a dragon, climbing on his back to tour the skies makes sense. It’s a piggy back ride basically, so how is that a wink?
I think you are being a litttle naive if you dont see these as seeds to keep the fanfic interest from certain groups going. I personally dont think there is any intention of making it “reality” in canon , but it is IMO an effort to keep the talk going behind the scenes. I could be wrong though.
No offense to your take on the situation. Not trying to cause any contentious debate as I dont have a horse in the race. Take care!
He lied to Anduin.
Whenever I see ‘Wrathion’ and ‘Andiun’ in the same post, I just feel like Simba when the stampede is about to start.
Remember the movie The Number 23? This is what this convo is like. If people are so intent in finding something, they will use basic innocuous lines that the rest of the world sees as normal, yet somehow try to prove a pattern.
Wrathion doesn’t look like a kid in his human form. He’s a young man.
Fair enough. Maybe I have been reading between the lines too much.
You’re not wrong. Blizzard knows what subtext is and knows how their writing is going to be interpreted, especially in the case of really attention-grabbing passages like the one from War Crimes where Wrathion, in a very flirtatious way, tells Anduin, “When I am a little older . . . I shall, if asked politely, take you on my back and ferry you to fascinating places, where we will have adventures that will age your father ten years in one night.”
People who think Christie Golden wrote that and didn’t know how it sounded, and that also her editor didn’t know how it sounded, and also anyone else who would’ve had to read the book and sign off on its publication didn’t know how it sounded, are just being ridiculous. Such people would probably read “A Steamy Romance Novel: Savage Passions” (a book you can find in-game), see passages like these:
“Yes, yes. I’m fine! The journey was long, and often hard, but I have returned victorious!” Marcus exclaimed as he pulled a bulging sack from beneath his armor, placing it gingerly in Raven’s rough, steady hands.
The inquisitive stable master cupped the bag, squeezing gently to discern the contents without unwrapping the package.
“Don’t be coy, you know what’s in there. But I have something even better for you.” Marcus said with a knowing smile.
Raven closed his eyes. He held out his hands and spoke calmly, “Give it to me, please.”
His arms flexed slightly as he felt something heavy, strangely warm, and smooth along its length. “Oh, this is, hmm… familiar… okay, yes, I know that part… an enchanted sword!” Raven released the glowing weapon from one hand, letting it swing in front of him.
And they’d be confused about why it’s called a steamy romance novel when it’s clearly just a story about some knight dude giving a stable master a sword as a present
Wasnt Marcus the guy that strolls out of the tent of 2 sleeping Tauren and says “Well, that was unexpected” , leaving behind a shiny silver necklace.
They can’t stay away. Any time anyone mentions lgbt or representation, they’re the first ones to start screeching.
