I think they should both be the aspect and bare the mantle together. Their temperaments balance each other, Sabellian is calm and cautious whereas Wrathion is inventive and determined. The Old Gods still rest in the crust of Azeroth, and corruption is always a looming threat.
kill wrathion
Ebonhorn should eat Wrathion and Sabellion and become the aspect through consumption.
Alright there Galakrond, coool down.
Yes, Ebonhorn should eat him too.
Maybe we should kill them both
Will this make Ebonhorn a more interesting character?
Yes. Consuming others for their power will make Ebonhorn bigger. Bigger means more powerful and therefore more interesting. This is an indisputable fact.
Bigger = powerful = interesting
The golden formula for character-building.
It makes so much sense, that’s why all the main characters are like 8 feet tall.
What makes someone interesting varies from person to person. With that said I like Ebyssian more than Sabellian and Wrathion.
Sabellian is more nostalgia and excitement that he’s being reincluded at long last, though I’ve really enjoyed seeing his cunning at work. Where as Wrathion’s destiny talk is annoying, plus the matter of him freeing Garrosh in a mad plan to defend Azeroth from the Legion, only to then not aid us at all in defending Azeroth from said Legion.
Now Ebyssian, he’s helped us, been with us, and honors his oaths and decorations. His characterization has been consistent and I just love his dynamic with other characters. Plus I find him rather funny too, that “I’m not doing that” when were told to get in the barrel for that one dungeon never fails to make me smile.
Plus, lets be fair. Having an Earth Warder with such heavy influences from the Tauren culture … isn’t the worst idea. Leading the Flight is another thing, but he’s the only one who’s really fit to be an Aspect.
Put Ebonhorn in the barrel, Blizzard.
Lot of talk about Ebonhorn >.> He doesn’t want the reigns, though. He was very clear that he was where he belonged.
I do not think it will be as straightforward as a binary choice of Wrathion or Sebellion. I think it will be either both of them conceding to another (ebonhorn), or both of them working together.
Unity and restoring what was lost is a MAJOR overarching theme of dragonflight. It is no accident both represent half of what an aspect traditionally represents—(Matri/Patri)arch of the Flight and the one who upkeeps a duty appointed by one of the Titans. Sebellion is the former, while Wrathion is the latter.
So, Wrathion and Sebellion will have to learn how to work together and collectively will serve both roles. The Power of Friendship will pervail.
Yes. They ate the powerful and interesting characters who came before them and got bigger. This in turn made them more even more powerful. If you need proof of my theorem, just look at this example alone;
Sargeras.
Zovaal.
Which is bigger?
Which is more interesting?
Bigger = More interesting.
I rest my case.
Let’s be honest here, sure Ebyssian is a flat and unreasonably unexciting character but what else would you expect from a Dragon with a Tauren visage form
If Sabellian can’t be the Aspect, I think I’d even pick Wrathion over such a dumb and predictable outcome as “you two are power-hungry immature brats, just give those Aspect powers to good old disinterested Ebyssian”
How about the fact that Wrathion is literally 12? Nevermind Sebellion. We, the players, have more world experience (and have done more to save it) then this little whelp. Do we really want to trust these kind of powers to a twelve year old?
I thought that was Baine’s job… eating anyone posters don’t like.
Honestly, given their behavior … Ebyssian is the obvious choice. Not just because he’s chill, but he is chill. The guy is extremely duty centric, but has no thirst for power. He actually does put people first, but wont use it as a bargaining chip for a power bid. On top of this, it truly can not hurt to have an EarthWarder so heavily influenced by Tauren culture. Like, the Earth Mother faith is entirely about the interconnected nature of all things, and the balance between them. Black Dragonflight leader aside, I’d actually trust him with the Aspect job.
Sabellion is too focused on his flight itself (Small picture, Losing the Forest because of the Trees trope), Wrathion is way too obsessed with some grand future (Large Picture, Missing the Trees because of the Forest trope). Tho, if I had to pick one of the two … Aspect aside, Uncle Sablemane would probably get my vote for at least the leader of the Flight. Assuming it is actually true that he’s cured of Corruption. Wrathion is too…
It was, but then Anduin told him that consuming your enemies is bad, and he cannot join the Alliance if he eats people, so he stopped.
