From everything I’ve seen so far, neither one of them should be the aspect of the black dragon flight. None of my alts have really done anything to gain rep with either one. It’s not like I’m boycotting them or anything silly like that. It’s just, I’m not super excited to help either power-hungry megalomaniac when I could fish or make soup or something. I’ll get around to it eventually.
I hope in the end the black dragons are lead by a council of Wrathion, Sabellian, and Ebyssian, preferably with Ebyssian being the actual aspect. Both Wrathion and Sabellian might have good intentions but it feels like neither of them should be trusted with the power of being an aspect.
Ok, the caravan is almost to the next stop so I guess it’s time to tab aback.

Sabellian didn’t help us with nzoth, wrathion did
“But he caused warlords of draenor to happen lul”
He learned his mistake and did what he did in BFA so he redeemed himself there

I love helping power-hungry megalomaniacs.
They’re just so full of surprises, makes every day feel like Christmas when they’re around.
But with famine, pestilence and severed heads decorating ramparts instead of presents.
Oh, but don’t you know? Not wanting to do a thing makes you the best option to do exactly that thing.

does a “eh you’re not wrong” head tilt
I just like seeing wrathion and sabellian bickering like siblings.

I feel like that just makes him even more qualified (standard story trope and all–Jon Snow!)
Something something power corrupting…
Something something not wanting it makes you wield it responsibly
Something something humble meek personality
Every book or TV show ever written has followed the same boring trope including last expansion

He made you farm for legendary weapons in Cataclysm which raid bosses were balanced around, making them mandatory. Or at least the rogue one.
He made us farm for legendary cloaks in MOP, which was probably the worst part of it other than having to wait a year for WOD.
He caused WOD.
He saddled players with the worst parts of BFA.
People acting like he only did WOD is an understatement.
Meanwhile Sabellian? He chilled out in Outland for over a decade. Doing almost nothing. He gave the five of us who actually quested in Blades Edge Mountains a few quests.
See, Wrathion’s problem is he’ll try to fix things that aren’t broken and justify himself after the fact. Sabellian is consistent.
And that makes him a leader? Seriously?

Can’t wait to slay the Black Dragons!!
Safer to have in charge, maybe. A pretty terrible leader though.
And never mind that by causing WoD he brought the Legion to our gates.
Our Gul’dan was Gul’dead, but even history itself and the passage of time is no bar to Wrathion acting the fool.

Exactly…and that’s the point.
We’re heading toward an Ebyssian as Aspect storyline. As Galadriel so eloquently said, “I feel it in the earth. I smell it in the air.”
He hid while wrathion helped us kill deathwing despite that was his father
Where was sabellion when nzoth was a threat? Where was he when the zandalari and mogu empire was a threat?
Relative to the standards of World of Warcraft leaders? Yes. Absolutely. The alliance is lead by a human who’s defining trait for the past two expansions is, “sad.” and the Horde changes leaders about as often as they change clothing. Which isn’t very often, but is still more often than you should be for a leader.
Nuke 'em all from orbit. It’s the only way to be sure.
