Whenever I resummon/summon my wrathguard his name is different. Is this a bug?
Felguard name is different of the Wrathguard name. It’s not a bug.

I understood it to mean every time he summons the same pet, the name is different.

I have just sat still and summoned my wrathguard 5 times, each time had a different name. (Is what I am saying lol) There is no random name option for warlock pets at an NPC is there?

I’m not having this issue, I’m resummoning my Wrathguard repeatedly and his name is consistent “Nixatik” while his weapon changes to whatever I have in my bags. He is shorter though, that bugs me.

Now I am even more stumped. I am a Draenei warlock, though it can’t be a racial glitch, as no other person I could find on the recent forums posted similar, (any) pet bug.

I thought maybe it was the same 5 cycling but it is not that either lol.
Imp and Voidwalker have static names. After summoning both of them (first) time and then 3 more times each, they remain the same and the wrathguard still changes.

i’ve a lvl 70 voidelf warlock (created/leveled before 10.1.5) who has the wrathguard skin and the weapon changing glyph (applied after 10.1.5 as before the patch i was using the wrathguard glyph) and the name seems to stick just fine. but on my level 50 draenai warlock (created/leveled after 10.1.5) who is using the exact same wrathguard skin and also has the weapon changing glyph and her wrathguard has the name changing issue as well. while i don’t think the draenai have a race specific wrathguard/felguard name bug, i can’t say for sure. but i do speculate that its connected to newly created warlocks.
oh, i also did try to abandon the pet to see if resetting the pet’s name from the trainer would make it static but that did not work

Seems new demon customization broke demons in more way than one. Messed up missing voices and names not sticking.

Thanks everyone! As you can see at the top of the thread, I have posted in bug report. (Anywhere else recommended?)
Hopefully itll be addressed and rectified upon the release of the Ma’nari draenei variation. (Still curious why they are calling it Ma’nari customizations when the draenei race is originally the Eredar. (Draenei meaning to flee or exile i forget.) Where if memory serves me, Ma’nari is a term used to describe a (draenei/eredar) as not normal, deformed or “wrong.” Whixh would fit our draenei warlocks but also leaves an itch 5o scratch on my head… Are the legion returning with the eredar? O.o (Funny how the void has moved forward with its assault quite unchecked (it seems) following
sargeras imprisonment.)
Others on the EU have noticed it too, but the topic seemingly died there 5 days ago. I’ve reported this bug in-game, twice now, but seen no evidence that either of them even went through, or even any sort of acknowledgement of the bug on the part of Blizzard. How a bug this seemingly small, and yet so fundamentally annoying, even happens, let alone lasts for over a week, is beyond me.

I’m having the name issue on my succubus. All my other pets have 1 name shared across all appearances, while the succubus has a different name on EVERY appearance (all lame too). If I abandon the name(s) it keeps reverting back on the next summon… I hope they fix this.

I keep logging out after i summon one wjth a cool name, hoping it holds for next time haha. Agreed, a fix is very desirable.

This is my wrathguard. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

The wrathguards use you as a timeshare
[only posting this because after checking back it looks like my first attempt didn’t go through(?) or was for some reason removed; ignore this if it’s a double-post.]
I have found the solution to this issue: go to a barber and revert to a felguard. Then summon your felguard. Dismiss him immediately and talk to the barber to go back to a wrathguard.
My felguard is… tiny, for some reason.
According to the warlock you’re posting on, you’re level 18. Hunter pets and warlock demons grow larger very slowly, as you level. Just to eliminate user error here, are you certain that isn’t it?
Edit: just realized the forum is ~20 levels behind where Rem is, currently, too.

Because, somehow, in 18 years of playing a warlock, I never noticed this. Could just be that it’s been a very long time since I leveled a warlock.
It’s been this way for longer than it hasn’t. I cannot remember exactly when this started, but they’ve been rather continuously “nerfing” pet size, for all of the 2-3 people in the world who complain about it instead of just asking their guild’s hunters to bring their smaller pets.
