Wrathful Complete PvP Set

i prob could yea
but why does it make the game better
i could understand the gear lock during the midst of the expansion but we are getting towards the end
it basically states that arena will only get worse from now on from an entry perspective

If only I didnt absolutely loathe WoW Arena pvp. Ah well, its not like random BGs require you to be full BiS.

Good news! All the pvp gear requirements are removed on the wrathful set as soon as the season ends & Cata prepatch starts. That’s right around the corner relatively & if you think they are lifting their finger for something that’s about to happen anyway you don’t pay attention :frowning:

im sure they are not doing it lmao
but it has nothing to do with the fact that removing this restriction at least at this stage of the expansion is the healthier decision

Why? If you play with a mindset of improvement & open to learning you’ll only get better at it & gain rating. All of pvp is balanced around 3v3 arena. Kind of a shame to enjoy pvp, but not arena.

At least you know lol

That’s why you can’t hack it in random BGs on your own; when you’re not surrounded by your own cohorts.

That’s why you have all alts at 2k.

You belong to a circle of cheaters and cheesers.

There’s an old tagline from the early TBC days that used to say ā€œI love PvP that’s why I hate arena.ā€

I never liked it but that’s neither here nor there. The OP asked about removing requirements and I said Id be cool with it too because there’s nothing to lose as there’s nothing to save - Cata is gonna be here soon.

I dont think the game will be any better or worse because of it. Just my opinion.

this late in the expansion i think they should add catchups too, more catchups, even pve ones. this game is almost done, let ppl enjoy what remains of it

Lmao how are you gonna say that killing undergeared bots in random BGs is somehow more difficult than arena when you can’t even hold onto 1600 :skull:

stop falling for his bait ffs

You’d imagine he has to be a troll, but the problem with that is he actually plays the game this way for real.

He goes around in half ele half enhance gear, split spec with no good talents, wrong enchants on everything, wrong gems like parry, wrong glyphs etc and actually plays all by himself spams bgs and tries to win, ive seen it. He is genuine. He genuinely believes all this garbage he says regardless of him using it to get a rise out of people.

Ive played every season the game has ever had. I get that some people didn’t like arena at first, me included. That goes away the more you understand the game and arena.

I was a duel / wpvp focused player in tbc, id beat all the glads in duels then theyd think i was good and take me into arena only to find out i had no understanding of teamwork, meta, or strategies outside of 1vX. I figured id kill this guy that other guy is your problem lol.

Then over the seasons I got better at it. Waving off the only actual competitive part of the game because i was inexperienced/bad at it would be a disservice to myself as someone that enjoys pvp. Just because you are bad at it doesn’t mean the content or format is bad. The entirety of pvp is balanced around 3v3 arena & is arena is the only place for true competitive expression.

Ik you didn’t ask for all that & your point about gear is fine, im just responding to the arena part sorry for the book.

He’s not a troll. He’s just that bad.

Tries? How do you know I’m not one carrying the horde?

The opposite was true for me. The more I played it, the more I loathed it. Different strokes for different folks I guess. I could list my many gripes but that’s not what this thread is about and I doubt few people want to read them anyway.

All good man. I was trying to give people the opportunity to actually discuss it as opposed to just bashing the OP because they don’t feel like the OP is entitled to their opinion.

You are absolutely correct. Missing pve gear is way more detrimental to higher end pvp.

The problem is, its not very motivating to play arena when you are sitting on points you can’t spend, which makes the bottom of the ladder very unhealthy.

Forsure, thats why getting better and gaining rating when you do is so rewarding. Ive got 6 diff classes I have grinded the full set on and each one I had to improve at before I climbed. Im more motivated to do better when ive got points stacked up & so are the friends I play with so they can boost up to spend their bank of points too.

It has the opposite effect on me that you gave & I guess people react differently to problems, but I’d never find myself on here asking for handouts when I see everyone else can earn them. Research/practice/improve/ repeat at every wall you hit till you break through whatever threshold you aim for. That journey is the entire point of arena and it rewards you for doing it. Not having my shoulders on a new class bugs me enough to improve till I get them it’s not a demoralizing process to someone that knows what the other end of that feels like.

Pvp content is lacking enough and pushing incremental rating jumps for an item is one of the few things we have lol Cata cosmetics will take it’s place, but wotlk will have nothing without them aside from a title push.

The stats aren’t the reason for people being low rated, their game won’t improve and after 5seconds of dopamine equiping it they won’t be any happier itll just be another complaint about something else they don’t have because they don’t meet the minimum requirements. Imagine raiders complaining its not fair they dont get heroic LK gear from a vendor, i mean its the end of the xpac right??? ā€œSo why not?ā€ Cause they can just earn it like every other person has had to for all of time & their squeeling won’t get blizzard to throw it in their bag. Cata prepatch hits its all honor gear anyway, beta is this month, its all Ogre. If they want it just wait till prepatch or GIT GUD GG.

Tonight I followed Wafectus in Dalaran while he was Ghost Wolf running around & sit howling. I took the time to inspect his gear/spec/talents/gems/enchants and I’ve got to say it’s quite the sight to behold. Ironforge.pro tells no lies.

He is impressivly commited if he’s a troll. He lives out the insanity he’s preaching. I think Wafectus is probably the greatest shaman in all of Grobbulus & it’s not even close. I mean who else can break his character so effectively? Not if you tried could you come to half the calculated buffoon he is. There is no other. He is him wrapped in a slim jim.

I advise everyone make a stop on Grobbulus to get yourself a gander at the one and only Wafectus, 8th wonder of the world. Azeroths greatest champion :trophy: :1st_place_medal: We thank you, Wafectus.
