I’ve been saying this for years and I will say it again.
Wrath of the lich king is the OVERRATED expansion of the bunch.
- MoP (Hate because of bias against china, great game!)
- Cataclysm (Hated for the wrong reasons, great game!)
- Classic (Original it will always be our first love)
- Legion (Made me fall in love with WoW again)
- TBC (Most true expansion to the original game)
- WOTLK (Overrated by most, nothing special. Don’t trust anyone who claims this the best)
- BFA (Solid attempt but missed the mark)
- Shadowlands (Terrible)
- WoD (Beyond Terrible)

MoP sucked because every zone felt like the same thing and lacked variety (oh no, bad guys, those darn mogu/sha!). Also the fact SoO went on FOR SO LONG alone will make me hate that xpac.
Cata sucked because it destroyed the old world, nothing else to say on that.
Classic was okay at the time but showed its flaws this time around (gear, balancing, etc) and was just a waiting room for TBC/WOTLK (at least for me and my friends)
Legion was good, once they ironed out the RNG kinks on legos.
TBC was good.
WOTLK is good.
WoD+ (except Legion) I pretend didn’t happen and that we all died from Garrosh.
WotLK was peak WoW, and nothing will change my mind about this.

Wrath is the best for one simple reason.
Customization to class.
It doesnt matter what expansion i play, if they gave me the exact same talent system and i was free to decide where to place my talents, i would love that expansion. In comparison, Wrath is when the game had the most talent options AND when they added all the cool spells to the game before they streamlined all uniqueness in the name of balance. In cata remember how the buffs would overwrite each other? Everyone hated that.
Also it isnt gatekept by reputation or attunement as much as TBC was. TBC was bad mainly due to that and thats why faction balance became what it did.
The armor from quests in wrath was also the best looking. Those plate spikey shoulders, or leather shoulders, amazing. Or the pvp armor sets. They really put a lot of love in the game. TBC armor and weapons were lame looking, and so was every expansion after wrath.

Your post is a whole bunch of arbitrary and subjective opinions, and you can’t really say “don’t trust someone’s opinion” without discrediting your own.
However, I’m starting to glean that the reason Wrath is loved by so many is because it’s a piss easy version of the game which still uses mostly Vanilla systems.
If Wrath is just cheat code mode of TBC, I’d agree that it’s not as good an MMORPG as it’s predecessors, and definitely overrated.
If the prepatch difficulty of normals/heroics is any indication of the difficulty in Wrath, I’d say it’s probably not even worth playing. Hardcore minmaxing will be a total meme.
I saw the panda on the commercial and I said f that kiddie game.

Gear was great in Vanilla. Clearly statted items, and some very fun and unique gear that’s only gotten watered down over expansions.
Balancing was also great. You only saw severe stacking of Warriors in the very tippy top of minmax guilds.
Pugging scene was vibrant. Leveling scene was more populated and cooperative throughout, much more so than on megaservers we have today.
World buffs were sick. Only bad for raid loggers who barely play anyway.
Wrath is looking more like a Vanilla+ waiting room at this point.
Edit: omg how could I forget WPvP with such excellent gear coming from world bosses. Amazing experiences playing with my faction coalition to secure those.
Truly the best iteration of Classic we’ve had so far, and undoubtedly because it had the highest population of players who wanted Classic to be as unaltered Vanilla as possible.

Dont like LK, dont play. Just that easy.

It’s okay, people are wrong all the time, I’m sure you’ll get used to it.
For certain classes and specs. Try telling that to a prot or ret pally and see what the answer is.

This tier list is 100% correct and anyone who disagrees is a bold faced liar. WOTLK the original was trash and lead to what eventually became retail andy paradise.

tho, I did enjoy Pandaria, the graphics are beautiful, how they took a tiny panda village that said nothing to us and made that all up, I think I would rather have San’layn tbh. We could’ve had that in Shadowlands or instead of dragon race
