Got two 80s and both are raidlogged, most of my guild is off leveling toons for DF launch next month as Pre Patch is Tuesday and I haven’t been motivated to level a single alt because 70-80 LFG has slowed down dramatically and no one is even in the leveling zones anymore so it feels like I’m playing a single player game.
How does a game get like this less than a month into launch?

Yeah, I joined TBC late and everyone hyped up Wrath. Didn’t think the hype would end so quick.
I saw you posting on the retail forums now. How’s that going for you?

Yep, there’s the usual report Garmuck reply to farm likes.
Figured you’d be here earlier.
It’s funny because playing on what was dubbed the deadest of all dead servers, Earthfury, the experience is the exact opposite. Sure there were a few no-lifers who powered up to 80 and Tears is doing their thing but by and large the overall pacing has been actually really great. As I keep seeing these type of posts pop up from people on the “megaservers” about LFG being dead, no one leveling or running heroics anymore all just raidloggin already we have had the exact opposite thing happen. More and more people are hitting 80, heroics and PUG raids going on pretty consistently, and you can just feel the server continue to grow by the day. More and more guilds popping up.
I think being a quasi-fresh server (obv it wasnt but for all intents and purposes it was because of where it started from on launch) it has made for a pretty great and fun experience of progression and growth as opposed to the majority powerboosting/no lifing the first week and a half and being done and raid logging like the it sounds like other bigger servers are experiencing.
Anyways, just interesting. Hope you find fun in the game someway or I guess just quit/wait for dragonflight!

I think what’s happening is that on a Mega Server we experienced what the life cycle of Wrath a lot faster than lower pop servers.
What you guys are doing right now, we did 2 weeks back and where we’re at now you’ll reach maybe 2 - 3 weeks from now.
The experiences you read are so many due to how universal it is, chances are when you start encountering the things we’re talking about you’ll be able to relate more as it is inevitable.
I’m not sure my server still thriving I could do whatever I want

Well with virtually 3 activities to do i’m sure even a 20 person server would feel alive.
I did my fishing and cooking daily.
I did two 10-man raids.
And then I got my 2s to 1700
Dailies don’t require players, 10 man requires 10 only and Arena is only active until Tuesday when every streamer goes back to Retail to play DF Pre-Patch to prep for launch as all the talents/solo queue gets opened up.
I mean yeah that’s pretty much what I said, our pacing is just much more spread out and slower which ends up making for a more enjoyable experience at least for me personally and it sounds like you would obviously agree seeing as how you’re having such a terrible time. I disagree that it will be the same in 2-3 weeks. I think there are clearly differences in the type of players that need to play on megaservers vs people who are just looking to play the game for their own enjoyment and dont need to be a part of the “in group” of the megas. Plus, the added challenge of playing on a server where you have to actually work for things and there is real world PvP and it all has a much more authentic classic experience is surprisingly enjoyable lol.

The thread is wrath is dying.
If it’s dying how come I can do what I want?
If I log on and I’m unable to do anything I’d agree, but I can log on and do literally anything I want in the game.

TBC 70s should never have been allowed to play until a certain percentage of new players hit 70. It throws everything out of sync when a large group of people can flood the economy and pretty much enter the expansion gold-capped and full raid gear and maxed professions. It just ruins a new classic version when everything is out of balance.

I’ve been leveling this druid on Earthfury starting a few days ago and it’s been kind of nice. There are people everywhere in the world. Even like the Halloween fire event the three times I’ve done it there have been 5+ other people there doing it.
There were lots of groups forming too although I notice a lack of healers so I’ll probably duel spec healer on this toon and run with pugs etc and help out with that.
Got to say I’m stoked to see the server turn around and I hope people keep enjoying taking it easy and enjoying themselves.
I hate replying in this thread but I wanted to say that. This is a positive thing and it’s far and above better to be positive. Being negative all the time isn’t good for anything at all and anyone who is consistently negative should look into what in their life is driving them to act out that way and then fix the core issue.
