The LFG Tool is accomplishing just that. You make a posting for a dungeon you want to do or misc run you want to do. You wait for people the interact with your posting, and then you run to the dungeon.
This tool is going to exist. People that want RDF want that plus the teleportation convenience. Which imo is just asking for the cake and to eat it too.
Take the compromise which is a solid one, and just enjoy the game.
You RDF andies still crying because you’re not getting RDF? Sigh time to let it go guys, move on with your lives.
It’s going to be an actual in game tool, not an addon not a global channel. It will be a posting you make to avoid having to go through the constant spamming to form a group, and you can play the game while you wait for players to interact with your posting requesting for an invite that also desire the same run. Your posting will not expire like the addon does. You will have this.
It just won’t teleport you to a dungeon in and out for your convenience.
People that want RDF want WotLK. Not a stripped-down version. Not a WotLK+.
Move on, yes, let it go, no.

Queue for a dungeon and ignore griefers out to kill quest NPCs and vendors uninterrupted. So you better add RDF to prevent griefing.
To me it was the other way: it was one of the hightpoints.
At some point in wrath my guild took one of those free transfers out of a congested realm because it was laggy and the login queue was delaying our raids. Initially it was great, no more lag and no more queue. However, when I logged with one of my alts to level up and do dungeons, I realized a huge problem: the server had a very low population and it was simply impossible to find groups.
I basically started just raid logging since I couldn’t run dungeons with my alts, and that was a pretty lowpoint in the game for me. However, when they introduced RDF, I was able to play with my alts again. The ICC dungeons were great, and without RDF i probably wouldn’t have been able to see them.
Sure guise it behind you want the original game. When truly what it boils down to on a level of comparison is that y’all want to be able to teleport in and out of a dungeon for the sake of convenience. Yet you’re unwilling to admit that because it doesn’t sound as good as oh I want the original thing.
People don’t look back fondly on WOTLK because it had RDF. People look back at it fondly cause the content was great. People think Ulduar/ICC, or the PvP seasons were all of epic level proportions.
Never once have I thought back to Wrath original and was like, damn I can’t believe how awesome RDF was back then.
All pro RDF individuals by in large want it for the sake of convenience.
im wanting the tool simply to allow you to have the game you want and me to be able to have the game i want. now, im only asking for the original RDF, i quit the game with that joke of pandara and came back for a very short period in warlords. so i dont know what the modern version is, but from everything im hearing about the LFG they are adding to Lich king, it is in NO WAY in the theme of classic lich king. its horrid and will lead to alot of us just not bothering with LFG and some folks just plain quitting because they were looking forward to it. posting hasnt worked at all and ANY delay can shorten the time a limited player has to play the game but hey, as long as folks feel good about their video game achievements, lets not care about the population quitting on the game.
and dont misunderstand i get your take on it, but its very selfish. i hear retail feels dead… well thats the way classic will go as well if they keep modding it. i see a spike up in population at the start but it will fall off in a month or two when the new LFG doesnt stand up to RDF. and yes, LFG probably works great in the ptr, but when you throw it out in the general population, its going to be a horrible way to form groups for casuals.
and you need attention so you come post crap that does nothing to explain or solve the problem, you post to be toxic and troll, dont like the conversation? try something new… scroll on chief, scroll on. take your own advice, move on with your life.
People SHOULD be giving their feedback about RDF and very much do, but the constant hijacking of threads isn’t needed, and it’s also not allowed in the forum Code of Conduct. I understand this is a blue post and people think that’s the only way they’ll get heard, but it’s still not the place for it.
Like this thread has gone off the rails and people who want to talk about the zombie invasion have a hard time doing that, which is really unthoughtful and disrespectful to those who just wanted to talk about those things.
Anyway, the game should be fun during the zombie invasion and the forums should be too so I’m looking forward to that. Regardless of the thread just being derailed to the same conversation on 50 other threads.
I’m gonna spread the plague at dungeon entrances so hard that even the most anti LFD person ends up begging for it. 
You say that as if you want me to think convenience is evil. Guess what, that convenience was added for a reason. I was there and agree with the reason it was added.

I laughed at this because a group leader can kick you whenever they want compared to an auto kick feature, which is a vote system.

You understand repeating the road that lead to retail will most certainly lead it down the path of it feeling dead.
The attempts to adjust in the spirit of why Classic felt better is intentional to avoid the path once taken.
As for the LFG Tool, it’s awesome. Idk who you’re listening to, but the tool inside of retail where you can essentially post an advertisement of what run you want to do, other players will see that posting, and sign up if they also want to run that same thing.
The only difference here is that you won’t be teleported to the dungeon in and out from right where you’re standing. And if you’re okay with that then you’ll be fine with this tool.
As for me being selfish argument again, It’s not being selfish it’s simply a difference of opinion.
It’s like if Blizzard said we’re gonna give everyone Frostmourne as participation trophies in ICC. I would say, I don’t want that because that sorely diminishes the value of achievement on earning and grinding that weapon. That isn’t me selfishly taking that away from you. That’s me simply poising my position on the topic. I don’t individually have any control over this topic at hand period. I can simply voice my position. As can you as well, that’s why I don’t call you selfish, because you’re simply stating your position which is perfectly acceptable. We just fundamentally disagree.
