Wrath Classic Feedback and Decisions

What does this mean? The UI needs to look different? Where’s the limit you are willing to “improve” this bulletin-board style tool? If this tool as all the features of the Random Dungeon Finder tool only with a rework to the UI. Why bother?

What’s the feature you are wanting to remove? The auto grouping? The teleport?

This clearly isn’t about “social experience”

But they AREN’T truly addressing #2 - closing the servers that are literally dead does nothing for opposite faction on a megaserver, or the 6ish surviving small servers. There are still thousands of players in that boat who can’t reliably connect with other players as is.

The ones that were closed is just Blizz acknowledging a sunk cost and writing those off completely.

we plan to have mounts and achievements be per-character

So wrath is going to be anti-alt still why would I farm out honor kills on an alt if my main still need 100k?

Just wanted to reiterate this. This is exactly how I feel. I enjoy grouping with people on quests and when running dungeons. I’m friendly and typically say something to the folks I’m grouping with. But I’m not looking to make life-long friends with any of them. I prefer small circles and already have more friends than I have time to keep up with.

My guild is where I make my friendships, and who I coordinate game activities with.

If that’s how someone prefers to play and it’s enjoyable to them, what’s the problem?

Only one. They affect game design for those that dont prefer to play that way and vice versa.

You will never make everyone happy. Ever.

OK, but how? Sorry I wasn’t clear on the question. I know ‘cause reasons’, but I would actually like to hear what would be game breaking about folks doing now what we did 12 years ago.

Its not and you’re ignoring what I said. I don’t know how to explain something in more detail that is self explanatory.
You playing one way is not how others would like to play and that game design will come about that will annoy and appease both sides as a result. RFD for example.

This entire topic is nothing more than personal grievances and no one willing to actually look beyond themselves. Including you, hell you didnt even look beyond your own post to actually comprehend mine.

Even if you do run into someone in a dungeon that you want to keep talking to, we have battlenet accounts. We have a friends list that we can easily keep in touch and communicate with them on. You absolutely could form that lifelong friendship with your newest and bestest friend if you wanted to, you don’t have to play on the same server and swim around each other in the sea to accomplish this.

When I still played retail, I met many people in random dungeons that I kept in contact with for quite a while. It’s not rocket science. Be a human. Speak to someone about whatever. Friendship acquired! The in-game world is not going to strengthen our bond, conversations will.

And to this specifically I say and I quote.

“Times change”

I’m not ignoring what you said. You said if something is good for one person it’s automatically bad for another person. As a general statement of fact, I couldn’t disagree more with you. That’s why I’m asking “how”. You can’t just say, “because if they do it it will be bad”. I don’t believe you can just reply to that with “nope” and have contributed the same to the conversation as you did.

How will it destroy the game experience of the other half? We’ve run this experiment before while WoW was seeing record growth. So I’m not seeing all the negatively affected people you claim exist that were hurt by RDF.

Conveniently misinterpreting what I said on top of ignoring it now?

YOU PLAYING ONE WAY IS NOT HOW OTHERS WILL ALWAYS LIKE TO PLAY AND THAT WILL CAUSE FRICTION.
FRICTION FROM DESIGNERS TRYING TO CATER TO ONE SIDE OR THE OTHER

I am not going to hold your hand while you’re willingly being ignorant.

When you realize that is the point of the change, everything starts to make sense. They want it to take longer, be less fun, less everything for the players because they hate their customers and only want to squeeze every cent from them as possible before this game crashes and burns all the way.

Any chance we could possibly see the modern collections interface in a later phase?

It would be great to be able to have all our toys, pets, and mounts in one place.

But I’m not saying others want to play how I want to play. My question is why should they care how I like to play? It doesn’t hurt them how I play, so I literally couldn’t care less that they are mad that I’m enjoying the game. And removing something because someone is mad that I’m playing that way is about the stupidest reason I can think of to get rid of RDF.

oh my god ive literally told you three time why they should care about how you like to play as it negatively affects them.

Im gonna go ahead and write you off as a lost cause. I’m not here to bring you up past a grade 4 level of understanding. If you don’t get it by now you simply wont and that’s no longer my problem lmfao.

Heres your @.

Go away now.

OMG, I’ve literally asked you several times now to explain how it negatively affects them and the best I can get out of you is “it’s self explanatory” which means to me, “you don’t know”.

I explained it, 3 times.

Its self explanatory but I explained it thrice.

You are a lost cause.

From what I know. Yes. Same goes for battlegrounds tokens and such.
