How are all your Islands coming along? Mine’s pretty cool, got my whole family on it. This is really helping us get through these rough virus times. The only thing I’m really not liking is all these damn eggs! We have a goal though to fill out the museum.
So how about it? Any projects or goals yall working on?
Picked it up on the 22nd and the only times I have put it down were for work, sleep or weekly clears in XIV.
Right now my main priority has been cross breeding Flowers so I have more color options for when I start terraforming my island. Thankfully my native flower was Windflowers so I’m able to grind tickets to get a Hybrid island and get blues which is one of my personal favorites.
Best designed Museum I loved just sitting in there.
My only issues are the bad online structure because one of the things I did a bunch in the first week was just visiting randos and chilling and the amount of “WUH-OHs” and “someone quietly left…” was a real bummer. The other main issue is more of a nitpick but I hate that your first 5 villagers are stuck with DIY furniture and camping stuff so while the later 5 gets their themed homes with beds my first 2 are still using sleeping bags.

I’m absolutely in love with this game. I’ve immersed myself so heavily in this franchise installment that I have become completely overwhelmed by the scale of what I’ve set out to do. I’m trying not to cheat or timeskip, but a few nights ago, I finally got a rare fish island - and broke 3 Fishing Poles without getting a single rare fish. It was like, 50% eggs. I’m timeskipping until I pass Bunny Day cuz of this.
Also - I just had my first major cash-in on the Stalk Market! 1.7 mil bells!
I’m making my island as trashy as possible by literally piling up bags of trash and tire stacks at the entrance to my airport.
Then further tucked away a really nice outdoor onsen in a bamboo forest <3
I’m glad they nerfed eggs because I started really getting into it this weekend and everything was just EGGS EGGS EGGS and I’m like, no I need like two more pieces of wood to build this NOOOO NOT MORE EGGS
Yaaay I’ve been waiting for this thread! 
I got mine a week after it came out so I was pretty behind but I’m also a filthy time-traveler so I’ve gotten caught up. So far, my museum is going really well as its usually my focus in these games. I have 65/80 bugs, 49/80 fish, and all but 6 fossils inside, and I’m working on an outside-display as well!
I have an orchard for all the fruits, a nice area with bamboo and an onsen, a few fun beaches, and just a TON of flower fields that I need to organize lol.
I also got super lucky in the turnip market when a friend’s shop was buying them for 535 and mine was selling for 107, so my house is fully upgraded and I have all the inclines I need, 6 bridges, and a few million in the bank.
The amount of customization and all the new clothing is mind-blowing. I wish you could buy multiple items from the same category at once in the fitting room (ie. 4 different shirts) because going in over and over for different variations gets annoying.
…yeah…I have a lot of clothes now. =|

I love seeing everyone’s island creations so far.
Not really enjoying it, honestly.
The RNG on the Cherry Blossom festival killed the hype for me. If future events are just "run up and down the beach for 12+ hours to only get 3 DIY recipes, the game’s entirely a waste of time. (And I’m not joking on the 12 hour thing. I just hit that point today.)
I’ve nearly 100%'d or actually did 100% almost all the previous games without time travel in the past. The RNG has never been this bad for events. Ever.
Can’t really enjoy working on customizing stuff when I can’t unlock the stuff in the first place. And no, begging other people for free stuff doesn’t work when I need the lamp pattern as I need like, 30+ of them.
I’m not sure what you mean? I found the recipes pretty quickly from balloons, message bottles, etc.
Then you’re lucky.
Check social media. Tons of people are having extreme difficulty finding the DIY’s - and that’s with the spawn exploit.
Still not a single cherry blossom recipe for me. If the drop rate was intended to be so low, it should be a much longer event.

After they nerfed eggs I started getting more DIY from balloons. I want more bamboo recipes since those are also seasonal.

Southern Hemisphere checking in. Got it last week and haven’t Had too much time to play but after a string of crappy islands, I got a scorpion island 
Still keep getting basic islands though and not much out of them.
Grind islands in WoW , grind islands in AC.
With my luck, I don’t think I’ll ever vacation on an actual island.
I’ve been just randomly growing massive fields of flowers all over my island as a lazy attempt to breed them and I finally sat down this morning and started setting up a breeding zone and organizing them all. What a task.
I really want to see others’ islands and such…but like pictures, because I’m too lazy to visit people very often xD
I also want to have a place where people can post their ss’s, discuss the game, share codes, etc…if I set up a Discord for it would anyone be interested?

I never could have afforded one myself but my WoW bestie that I’ve played games with for the last 11 years gifted me a switch lite with the game and it was only $200, so maybe you could find the lite version?
