WQ's have taken a big step back

The variety, rewards and rotation is severely lacking.

Seems like it’s the same ones every day and they’re all a pain to get to or complete for the reward

And the rewards on the gear side are lacking. Linking the ilveñ of the WQ to tje renow was a bad idea

They wanted to make them optional to raid loggers, so they wouldn’t feel obligated to log in every day to do them. They also wanted them to be worthless to the people who used to do them for their end game in Legion and BfA, because they want those people to have no choice but to do raiding and spam high keys to get gear adequate to do the world quests that are now pointless.

When was WQ gear ever equal to running dungeons before SL?
In fact they are now, as I’ve seen 170-175 items pop up on WQs since the renown upgrade.

I just miss the kill 1 elite quests.

There aren’t that many because most of them aren’t from the leveling quests.

In BfA I think almost all of them were.

Legion had the best WQs regardless. Not sure who wins between BfA and SL.

I miss world quests that didn’t involve a topography boss. Navigation this expansion feels quite tedious.

Pretty sure that’s the point. Sorry you can’t get normal raid loot from knitting a sweater or jumping through some rings.

WQs for anima serve the purpose of upgrading the campaign gear you get over time. Right now I believe all the campaign pieces we’ve received can be upgraded to 184. Next upgrade I believe is 190, and probably tops out at 197 when we finish our campaign stories.

As far as gear for players who don’t do dungeons or raid or rated pvp.

Absolutely. Old content or bust.

Thats, so useless… 197? You can buy 200 valor pieces already easily. Whats even the point of upgrading it so late into the xpac. Even a new toon 15 weeks from now will outgear that before they get through the entire chain.

The players who don’t like pvp and don’t run dungeons or raids. They do exist, so I’m told.

the problem i have is that it takes quadruple the travel time to do them, and then they themselves take double the time as WQ’s before. They thought to themselves “quality over quantity” but they had a bad dev with no creativity and understanding of WQ’s being less of a chore, and they made them clunky and take a good chunk of time to complete and NONE of them are fun at all except a few, but a lot are really dumb collection + kill quests.

WQ’s are definitely worse then BFA and they said the were going to make them less of a chore, but they double failed.

While I’m not generally a conspiracy type. I 100% believe this to be true.

Ultimately though it will more likely drive people like me away from the game. Get in instanced content or go away seems to be the future.

They are more of a chore now. They take longer to get to, they’re not as good as in bfa/legion, take longer to complete, and the rewards are worse. It doesn’t even scale ilvl correctly.

My bigger gripe with this is that callings have to be picked up first, which seems like a waste of time. Why is the old daily quest system still a thing after WQs were developed?

If I happen to be in Revendreth because I was herbing and the calling is “Defend Revendreth” I have to go back to Elysian Hold to pick it up instead of just doing the WQs when I’m already there — that’s purposely making us waste time.

Once exalted there will be no reason to even do them also.

There is. Looks like a mount and pet in each rep from paragon boxes.
