WoW's water is too calm, need waves added

Pretty self explanatory… Even the coast of the Great Seas are quiet and calm with barely a ripple.

We need some dynamic waves and stuff added to the water in this game.

Maybe then we can have surfing quests or mini profession

You just drop in smack the lip and whaPAAA theRide the barrel and get pitted…so pitted just like that.

There was some nice wave effects on Isle of Thunder… that they never used again afterward.

Kind of like when they did this panel at Blizzcon about how they re-recorded all the Blacksmithing sounds and then only gave the new sounds to NPCs.

Nah I would rather have calm water over a resource hog. I know, I know… someone with their badass computer is going to reply but I’m talking about the average user.

One of the cool things about WoW is it can run on a potato.

that’s why there are customizable graphic setting…

That sounds odd but whatevs. I’m not an armchair dev.

Agreed, Having WoW accessible to lower end PCs is very important, but these can always be added as features like detailed shadows that can be adjusted on / off.

I’m always down for a prettier / flashier WoW. But I fortunately have one of the aforementioned badass computers.

If we all submit to Azshara, maybe she’ll liven the seas for us!

Having an actual tide that comes in and out as well as waves would be a bigger undertaking than the payoff for having it. I’m not sure there are many games that even bother having realistic tidal effects.

This.

I have nothing to add except that I agree. :woman_shrugging:

Blizzard already toned down spell effects. Took away 90% of the weather systems, and made nights as bright as day.

You really think you’re gona get waves?
