Out of these two who’d win in a fight?
1 v 1, access to all skills and abilities. No support.
the only armor and class/job relevant weapons are allowed. No extra items (like profession crafted toys and non gear items from either side.)
Edit: To specify it’s FF14’s warrior of light playable.

WoL can canonically see the future in a useful combat sense, so they would probably win.

I’m certain the closest thing to future sight we got was in Ivalice Raids/Bozja because Mikoto was there and those who possess the echo trigger each other’s echo, thus they’d see what the first person sees.
I don’t recall where, but it was spelled out that telegraphs you see throughout the game are you being able to see a little bit into the future.

Warrior of light easily wins. They’re literally blessed by the goddess of their story.
Warrior of Light canonically can switch to all jobs on the fly and even invented entirely new abilities only they can use. Like the Queen Mecha they summon as Mechanist is their creation.
They’re often mentioned as being absurdly OP.
Meanwhile Thrall kill stole Deathwing from us.

Warrior of light isn’t generic and why are you bringing up Thrall?

They both have exactly how much power the current story requires them to have, comparisons are pointless. It’s why we went from killing a titan and the titan+ powered jailer to fighting murlocs and failing to stop a random dragon.
I hate the inconsistency.

All the blessing does is protect from corruption (endwalker spoilers) it’s a Travellers Ward that protects from being corrupted from aetheric imbalance (or tempering)

Realistically rogue beats all. Everyone sleeps eventually, and I have knives and infinite invisibility.

I am both a ninja and a pirate. I am alpha and omega, the beginning and the end.

yeah thrall is a bad character as well. but Warrior of light is about the most boring generic character I could imagine. it was one of the major things that turned me off the game.

To be fair I’ve also seen it function like an indestructible shield that has saved the WoL on more than one occasion from something that by all accounts should have killed them. So it’s plot armor basically that functions however the plot needs it to function.
I could reasonably see the WoL mopping the floor with just about any random WoW player character due to everything I’ve seen the WoL do during my time playing FFXIV. Some classes in WoW would certainly fair better against certain jobs in FFXIV of course, but like someone else said the WoL has way more options at their disposal at any time than any one character here does.
Anyway, I love both games, they’re both very different though and I consider that to be a good thing. So yeah, comparisons are almost meaningless… still fun to think about though!

Well same could be said for Wow’s playable who literally has no personality at all.
Wow’s playable char and the WoL are (mostly) blank slates to allow people to put themselves in to their shoes

Is that a joke? lol. WOL is a LITERAL god slayer on a daily basis. he has powers from Hydaelyn he rarely uses but are super OP like magic shield. He can switch to any job on demand as of shadowbringers. Our wow characters are weak in comparison. We needed somewhere between 10-30 people on average to kill the big baddies. WOL only needs himself+7 others at most.

No, It’s not a joke, Just Genuine Curiousity.

A better match up question is WOL vs kratos, 2 god slayers who have no problem killing powerful conjured deities.
On 2 diff occassions, the WOL put up a magic shield to defend people from incoming primal influence. He can do more then that if he wanted, he can create new abilities but doesn’t and relies on training.
Not at all. The echo is op, hence the experiments in Stormblood, and WoL is far more powerful than those around them.
They also can easily master multiple jobs and have literally beaten Gods and Goddesses in a fight.
Jobs that normal people take years or even decades to master just 1.
