What? There’s probably the most good casual content right now than there’s ever been. Legion had a lot and Dragonflight has more than Legion. I know, I’m the Goddess of Casual.

This actually came up a few days ago in a different thread. The ā€˜rankings’ that I assume the OP is quoting are based on…

…wait for it…

…subreddit activity.

Yep.

You read that right.

I ask again - what is the criteria of the source the OP used, or indeed the source at all. I could just as easily assume its because Final Fantasy was voted prettiest.

I just came back from a three month break and WoW seems even more dead. And the exodus started in BFA not SL. Over the past five years I have put over 5k hours into FFXIV and maybe fifty hours into WoW. I love WoW mainly for the art and the investment I put into it up too MoP, left during WoD, came back for legion. The past two expansions I just come back towards the end when all the catch up mechanics are in. I enjoy dragonflight but the only good thing it has so far is the dragon riding. They screwed up professions after neglecting them for like four expansions. Story is ok, everything else is just medicore.

Shadowlands probably.

Well it’s no secret FFXIV is flogging WoW, the news & sources of that came out ages ago.
As for the rest, yeah I’m not sure about those listings.

Cite some sources or you’re lying.

Guild Wars 2 more popular than WoW
#6 through #13 being more popular than ESO

You didn’t find multiple lists that had this same order, OP.

The only thing truthful on this list is probably FFXiV being #1.

japanese culture is a lot more civil than western culture… old MMO culture was kind of japanese so they could do a lot of things they can’t do now in wow

GW2 isnt nowhere close to the wow…

It was only until BFA – Shadowlands they overtook though …

Not to mention FFXIV devs straight up admitted openly that a lot of their huge - MASSIVE intake of players was because of how bad WoW was currently sucking. lol

Guild Wars released on Steam, which might have boosted it.

2.2k players online right now, 3.7k in a 24h peak, and 8.3k as an all time high which was 11 months ago. Sounds like a really popular game.

Game play and interface are perfectly fine.

The community, however, is a bunch of toxic positivity and enabling of crap gameplay hidden behind a veneer of nicety.

if that is true buddy, listing it that high is not very ethical

According to Steam Charts, those are the numbers as of my posting.

The Japanese community of FFXIV is savage.

They rip the developers apart.

You sure that’s not just the steam player population?
