The Arathi humans we meet were splintered away from the rest of the kingdom after receiving a vision of a falling star and it took them to Harrowfall.
They are super devoted to the light and were referred to as “uber paladins.”
The Sword of Sargeras is apart of the saga and will be addressed during The War Within.
The crystal and the crystalline ceiling seen is not the sword, as some speculated.
Magni is only one who actually knows that it’s Azeroth calling out to people, everyone else is just confused.
Magni has a vested interest in the ongoing of The War Within.
By the time of War Within, Moira has gone missing.
Moira was said to have an interest in Earthen.
We will go on adventures with her son Dagran.
Anduin is completely free of the Domination magic, however he is deeply haunted his experiences and is struggling with who he is.
Anduin will interact with the Arathi in Hallowfall.

While they are planning on increasing the cadence of their expansion releases, they want to keep it at a responsible pace, both for on the development side as well as for player base. They are really happy with the overall engagement with Dragonflight.
They really want to avoid a repeat of the gap between Siege of Orgrimmar and Warlords of Draenor.
While 10.2 is the final raid, they have more story to tell.
The trilogy will flow into one another.
They are continuously talking about a world revamp. The return to Quel’thalas for Midnight was brought up as an example.
Delves could have a run length time of 15 minutes.
Most, if not all, flying mounts should have dynamic flying by launch.
I stated this in another thread but I feel the use of ‘A falling star’ is intentional on their end. Probably referencing the quest “A falling Star” in Legion where we found Xe’ra’s core after it was thrown to Azeroth from Argus. Not to mention that around the time of the Kingdom of Arathor’s founding (post Troll Wars), several humans were getting visions of the naaru. Although they did not what naaru were at the time. Maybe some of them sought to find where those visions actually came from. My guess is the ‘Falling star’ referenced here for the next expansion is a naaru ship or at least naaru related.
Similar to Oshu’gun lore, and the ‘Darkstar’ I think there’s also a small tie in to the Traveler series. But the whole idea that the Crystal, whatever it is, is turning from Light to Void, reminds me of this old Cdev Q&A
What is the nature of the Void state of the Na’aru? For a being of the Light, turning into such a dark being seems like a heavy weakness. Sucking in souls and causing destruction simply because of a loss in strength greatly diminishes their saintly image. Though, this might be a reason they don’t act in combat very much, as turning on your army due to fatigue wouldn’t be good for morale.Because three cases of this “cycle” have been demonstrated in Nagrand, Auchindoun, and Sunwell Plateau (K’ure, D’ore, and M’uru, respectively), players may have received the wrong impression with regard to the magnitude and rarity of these events: it is EXCEEDINGLY rare for a naaru to fall into a void state, and even rarer for a fallen naaru to be brought back into the Light. A naaru’s fall into the void represents a catastrophic loss for the naaru and for the forces of the Light, and it is the saddest, most heart-wrenching event for the naaru to witness. Conversely, a naaru being reborn into the Light brings renewed hope and sense of purpose to every naaru; if energy beings could weep tears of joy, this would do it.
Well I’m glad that Moira has a role to play after all, hopefully once we find her she doesn’t sit out the rest of the expansion. Dagran Jr. finally aging in-game is really nice too.
This is just bizarre though. One why isn’t Magni telling anyone, but moreso, why can no one else figure it out on their own? Everyone knows after BfA that Azeroth is alive.
This was odd to me too, actually. Did they all just conveniently get amnesia after the events of BfA? I know that not all the in-universe characters have the same knowledge that we have, but the main faction heroes not remembering that the Worldsoul is fairly vocal is a bit weird.
I guess it’s never spoken to them directly before that I can recall (aside from Magni) but you’d think they’d put two-and-two together… especially Thrall, a friggin’ SHAMAN of all people.
i was going through this post with the intent to highlight alliance content
and underline in red horde just because of how my snipping tool works
but uhhh
I think you can safely put the Red away for the next Expac. We will be lucky if the Horde makes an appearance in the coming Silvermoon revamp. The Blood Elves will probably sign it over to the Alliance High Elves and move to Suramar - off screen.
Magni Bronzebeard is the only person who can hear Azeroth, being chosen as her Speaker. Paladins don’t hear spirits, so Anduin would’ve thought he was going crazy or maybe that the Jailer was still alive and trying to control him again. Shaman only hear elementals and the dead, so Thrall, when first hearing the voice, would’ve been like : “grandma, is that you?” And trying to figure out which spirit was contacting him, which led both to the sword of Sargeras and the same conclusion.
Which begs the question: why isn’t Magni hearing this voice? Is it really Azeroth, or something else?
Magni will be involved in War Within, so presumably he’s hearing her. However his daughter has gone missing, so he’s presumably more focused on that than letting everyone know that it’s Azeroth talking to everyone.
No where is it stated Moira has gone missing - in fact you can actually see her in two shots of the features trailer.
When the interview said “Moira hasn’t been seen for quite a while…” it’s like mega obvious they mean, we the players havent seen or interacted with her/she hasnt been part of the story in a while.
It even states she is interested in the Earthen, so she travels to this new island with her now older son
Not sure if I should be excited or terrified that Dwarves are finally getting a bit of the focus they deserve. I want to be excited, but I’ve seen what that focus has done for others in the past(poor NElves).
ya they did allude to division in the Arathi ranks, and more than one of the announced dungeons look Arathi related. Which is Im assuming where that shot from the trailer, of the big Arathi paladin boss is from
Ah, do you have the quote where they alluded to the division? I’m keen to work with the Arathi but I imagine that we’ll fight em as some sort of scarlet crusader callback
It was from the What’s Next panel where Maria Hamilton went over the cultures, around the 13:54 mark if you watch the official upload of it on the wow youtube channel.
Her exact quote is
“It sure would be terrible if there was division in the Arathi ranks, just sayin.”
Said in a tone that very much implies there is division
