The imbalance that doesnt exist you mean?
Sure no faction imbalance issue and queues are working as they should based on faction populations. Issue closed.
You joined the side with all the players so you could easily find groups, then you got upset that your side has all the players and has to wait in long queues. Cry more
Population is not the problem, engagement is.
for better or worse more Horde player like to play Bg etc…Merc mode will not affect alliance players who want to play the game
Its all win win
If merc mode is in, apparently alliance players will drop everything and reroll horde en masse because of racials. I mean, they won’t reroll but it’s what they say anyway!
If blizzard caves and adds mercenary mode or some other similar feature to TBC, all grounds for denying other features goes out the window.
Personally, I’d love dual spec, but I’m not sure you all feel that way.
Well, you could always introduce a new system for TBC that would solve the issues: remove the faction barrier for battlegrounds and arenas. Be able to just join a queue and become hostile to everyone there, whatever race they are.
I guarantee any player’s reticence regarding attacking their own race or faction would vanish the first time they got slaughtered by the same people…
Not just racials, it’s essentially the ability to play WoW on easy mode. Access to all quest hubs, easier levelling. Horde will never reroll or faction transfer to alliance because they know this.
…wut?
We’re still talking about Mercenary Mode right?

This thing? What does questing and leveling have to do with any of this?
Many people chose Alliance strictly because of the shorter queues, removing that incentive means more people (especially new/returning players) will just roll horde, making the faction imbalance worse.
Levelling as Alliance is a completely different experience to playing horde easy mode, this is due to the gross population imbalance
…how is leveling as Horde “easy mode”?
Never have to skip quests or quest hubs due to it being dominated by the other faction / constantly being ganked
That’s what Alliance dominated PvP servers or PvE servers are for…
I don’t play on a pvp server so phase 2 of classic wasn’t a problem for me but I’d be willing to bet blizzard lost a substantial number of subs then and many of them didn’t come back. Blizzard has the numbers and data, which of course the never release to us, and if they were smart they would act on them.
So your answer is to reroll on an ally dominated server?
Well same answer to hordies, reroll on an ally server
I am totally cool with Horde to Alliance faction changes, preferably to PvP servers with a lower Alliance faction ratio or any PvE server.
No, I’m rejecting the silliness that is “easy mode” leveling just because you assume PvP servers are mostly Horde dominated.
It’s amazing that you think you know why I went horde.
LOL you are such a little baby
My alliance character is almost 67 and can count the amount of times I’ve been ganked on one hand. And each time was a 70, getting as much honor as possible in between bgs because honor acquisition is abysmal. Other than those maybe 4 or 5 times, I’ve had zero issues questing and levelling as alliance. Most levellers just want to be left alone to do their thing, regardless of faction, from what I’ve seen.
Some people are acting like horde completely dominate every zone, every quest hub and every dungeon area. They don’t unless the individual servers are massively one-sided.
