you’re naive to think that it doesn’t hurt alliance
Horde need to unite and work together to solve this problem, by not queueing for BGs. This will dramatically reduce queue times for horde.
I believe you are over estimating how many people are playing Ally because of short bg que times.
This is not going to work. We know this because at the start of Classic the servers that had massive que times (5-7 hours) got offered free server transfers off the server and hardly anyone took them. People play what they want to play and where they want to play, offering a free faction change isn’t going to fix that.
Sure, put in Merc mode. But make it disable their racial abilities for the duration of TBC.
I think you may have missed what I said a bit. I wasn’t asking why you would want to do one over the other, the author wrote “people are choosing not to do arena because of bg ques”. And I wrote that bg gear for season one is not needed to do arena and get arena gear specifically.
This article should be outright ignored. The author has a Twitter account where he basically pushes for all these changes to tbc or even outright says they are going to do these changes as if he is a dev.
And yes, he is a horde player who is vocal about how this effects him personally. This is not an article. This is a blog post that he is abusing his wowhead rights to push for something he wants.
Go check out his Twitter and twitch and you’ll see.
While I guess you are right it is not needed, queing into Arenas without Resilience Gear vs a team that has a full Resilience gear puts you at a massive disadvantage which is the problem.
cus you are stupid
You can have your merc mode only after Barber and new AH come to TBCC.
Reroll. Just like I did at some point. Problem solved. Forever. It’s not like this issue is brand new. It’s been like since the inception of WoW in 2004. Doesn’t take a genius to realize that.
Even if you just pved, you can approach very similar levels of resil just through gems and enchants and trinkets that require absolutely no pvp at all.
And also considering the levels of resil you get this early on, even with FULL pvp gear on really isn’t that much more than someone walking in with resil gems and enchants. I got into a discussion about this the other day and we found out that the difference between someone in full BiS stacking resil for pvp gets about 5% more crit reduction and 10% more crit damage reduction than someone in regular blues with resil gems.
Is that a difference that MIGHT lose you some games? Sure. But very few. Is it enough to say “I refuse to do arena now because I can’t compete”?
Absolutely not, and the posters saying this are being extremely over the top if they think so.
If bgs are truly that awful, go run some heroics or maybe a kara or two and get some gear and gem them with resil I guarantee you will be fine.
And some classes it’s probably actually BETTER to get the pve alternative with resil gems.
the problem isnt solved. you want 70 percent of the world to suffer since your piece isn’t currently affected but what your simple mind doesn’t understand is that if the horde dies you are next. Furthermore when bgs are long horde go out world pvping and making it hell for you…
How insane are you to think that ALLLL qol changes are bad? It’s obvious that the reason retail is bad is from bad decisions piling up but you don’t throw the baby out with the bathwater. So stupid
It’s hilarious how all these horde players want to have every single advantage with no downside.
God you guys seriously need to go outside.
“Suggests you reroll to a different faction to balance the game out and make it better for everyone”
“YOU WANT US TO SUFFER!!!”
If this is your version of suffering which is literally just asking you to switch your game up a little bit then you really need to go outside
Gotta love the people claiming that having too many people in line to do content is the sign of a dying game.
I play both factions; horde racials are objectively superior in the hands of the average player. Perception is crazy vs rogues and druids, but it’s easy for average players to out play it. As the skill level goes up, perception is stronger, but at the typical average players level will of the forsaken is far stronger and more versatile.
Hardiness & The DPS trinket that it comes with is very strong; being 90% immune to stuns impacts every class excluding Shaman.
Belf is not bad either, the on use is good, and the AE blanket is actually very good vs all but rogue.
Troll looks meh, but it’s got some use
Cow is very strong for Shaman, IMO better than orc because it provides CC they can use and the number of fools I have seen kick it is crazy. Additionally it’s good for Druid too if they know CC DR exists.
Horde racials are just overall superior, this is just how things go.
Horde players make me laugh. Want all the advantages but none of the disadvantages that come with it.
Horde are the Majority who have all the advantages, harassed the minority for a long time, rubbed it in their face how much better they were and how the Minority problems comes from “Just not trying hard enough”.
When the minority gets even a sliver of any advantage the Horde majority makes sure Blizzard nerfs it and stomps it out. Then the Horde talk about how they really have no advantage and it’s all about “fairness”.
Now the Horde demand more from the minority to the point they don’t care if the minority is harmed because the Horde must have their way. After all they didn’t have anything to do with the issues. Sins of the father don’t apply to them, they’re innocent. Yet they refuse to give up any advantage to make a positive change…
Wow… Horde attitude sounds awfully familiar…
We had bad queue times for ALL of classic. AV was literally 2-3 hours at some points. There’s no “news” here.
A little over 3 weeks into release where people are still leveling…
“OMG my bandwagon has long ques! THE GAME IS DYING!”
1: Settle down, francis
2: Let people level and for the population to settle.
except they are not. its like maybe 53 horde 47 alliance
Alliance undisputed kings of 2v2 and perception is stronger in early seasons for 3s
Dwarf racial is superior in 2s and is BIS for hunters in 3s
- WLD is BIS as alliance
- Mana drain (hunter priest druid) BIS as alliance
- All double dps are BIS as alliance
I won’t get into all the minutia because people are ignorant of high lvl gameplay.
- Perception is easy to use at a low level and harder at a high lvl
- WOTF easier for noobs to use
- Dwarf racial is hard for noobs to use well
Alliance is not in any way 1 hour bg q’s stronger people just LIKE the aesthetics of horde better… I started as horde in TBC and thats why I am now
Yeah seeing that too; it’s really stupid too because you can gem / enchant PvE gear to be very good for PvP since gems and enchants are strong. Especially with how crap the blue PvP set is due to the fact that if you want to be effective you’re forced into output stats for the PvP blue set making PvE gear actually better than the blue set.
As for the arena set; That set is absolutely worth getting if you’re doing arena, but apparently there are people who think they need the garbage blue PvP set to get into arena… it’s kinda lime the people who think they need full pre-raid BIS to do T4. Its awesome if you want to really go all out, but don’t pretend that level of investment is actually needed.
