It lists about 7 different builds but no explanation on why its chosen. Any alternate guides thats are more straightforward
Try icyveins.
But also remember builds is just a reconmendation, not the rule. Play what is fun to you, most choices is only slight dps gains.
It literally explains the difference between the auto attack and no downtime builds in the paragraph before the graphic. That and the name of the build provides more than enough info to understand the “why” for each build.
Most of the wowhead guides have room for tweaking. Couple I use for my ret pally that works great for me. Like on my hunter here. No guide lists tranq shot and I find it essential. But I have all these speed boosts. Get rid of them, take camo, and the path to tranq shot.
Here is what I use. Works for me (Jatarri’s Pally)

tested this I love it ! many thanks!
Glad I could help.
I know it’s something of an old thread but I have a basic question to ask the community…
I know that in general, Strength being our primary stat is supposed to trump every other stat, but I do know that Haste is very good for Crusading Strikes.
For a Crusading Strikes build, what do you think is most optimum enchant for a weapon? Wafting Devotion or Sophic Devotion?
Thanks in advance.
both sophic and wafting are even with each other especially as you go higher ilvls. i usually sim both my option but you can really go eitehr way
I don’t really see people talking about the difference between the two, so thanks.
There’s a lot of factors that make it difficult for us to answer this appropriately.
Generally, yes, haste is our best stat with CSAA. However, you get diminishing returns on it after 30%. Most ret paladins in PVE take a balanced approach after 35%, pushing for more crit/vers gear.
I would tell you to sim yourself with the enchants for the right answer which will also depend on the content you’re doing.
