Kinda trying to figure out what the better option is outside of class discords
They are both pretty identical.
Lately I have preferred Wowhead, but I used Icy-veins for years. There was a time in 9.0 where Wowhead seemed to update faster when things changed, and the menu is just more pleasing to me so I switched over. But the information is 98% copy paste kind of stuff.
all right i could juse use both in the end there are some slightly different things on wowhead over icy
I use icyveins.
WoWHead once tried to deliver me too much adware/spyware.
all i can say is that i have 400+ days login streak over at wowhead
insert the road to el dorado âboth is goodâ meme
but really, i use both all the time. always good to get info off multiple sources to see if its correct/what changed they have any why
WowHead is owned by TenCent, IcyVeins is not.
I use them both. They arent exactly identical like a few comments here say⊠and thats what I appreciate about them. Sometimes rotation priorities will be slightly different, tier lists will be slightly different⊠and I like them both for that.
yep, consult both, then sim yourself and see what works best for you, then try playing with both and see what still works best for you. Some of the guides are based purely on mathematical simulations that you can hope to ever reach, maybe taking that talent that isnt recommended better suits your own rotation, even if your not pulling the top theoretical DPS the lesser or passive options may give YOU a boost over trying to fit in skills you dont have the dexterity to use.
Method has guides, Iâd trust the them
I use both, as both as very valuable. Wowhead in particular is absolutely crucial because of all the helpful player comments on quests and factions and various things.
Both sites are good for browsing the front page for WoW related news, vids, etcs.
I use Icy Veins. I donât know why anyone wouldnât; it helps with DPS quite a bit. Never heard of Wowhead beforeâŠ
âŠWhat class uses that ability? I donât see it on my Frost Mage, so I am not sure how you can choose between the two if it doesnât exist.
You mean builds on that site, or havenât heard of the site itself?
Cause of itâs the latter then⊠Iâm honestly flabbergasted.
I use Wowhead first, then Icyveins to double check.
lmao.
Use ALL the information you can get from both and more.
Once you are well versed in any one particular class, itâs easy to recognize good information over bad. This can help when determining what sites to use.
However, donât dismiss anything you never heard of as false, explore it for yourself to see if itâs true. It might just be a new technique that is unfamiliar to you. Always be open minded and ready to change your groove (so to speak).
Personally I will use both. I also belong to a Druid discord, just to see what others are saying.
Dunno if this helps.
Both, some of the class pages have similar info, but are far from identical (historically) for some classes.
All i can say is that since (2008) i have been playing wow the wowhead website has been a godsend to me especially the world content ,the bugs which have occured over the years would have frustrated me a lot more if wowhead comments were not there . For example doing loremaster and doing glory achievements (like barrel roll and the razorscale breath kill etc) and these are just 2 used in example there are a lot more which would have been s complete crapfest .
If youâre looking for current and accurate advice on your class, class Discords are usually the best resources with entire spreadsheets, constant discussion on whatâs best etc
I never thought this was an either/or issue. Youâre not limited to only a single resource.
I use wowhead for news and Icyveins for class info.
