Wow.exe not responding

I have been having issues with the game hanging during loading or during combat. The screen freezes and I get the Windows “application stopped responding” notification. This has been happening on and off for me over the course of several months. Sometimes it seems like updating addons helps, sometimes restarting my PC, but these are both anecdotal. I can confirm that once it starts happening it seems to happen once per boss in raids, M+, etc.

Could somebody please assist?

Update: It is now also happening while flying around Zereth Mortis, and far more often than it used to. Please help.

Seems to indicate basic system instability. Try updating the asus motherboard software.

Thanks for the attempted assist - I started getting crashes again in M+ today (after raiding heroic SoFo no problem Wednesday and Thursday) so updated the asus software and am still experiencing problems.

Crashed out of a DoS 3 times, Streets twice, really hoping to be able to find a fix. This isn’t an issue I run into with other games (or even WoW classic).

I had crashes in Spires and Torghast. I uninstalled the game and Bnet, then deleted all temporary cache files. Reinstalled everything, turned on debugging on GPU software, and no crashes since.
