WOW/Discord voice chat issues

So any help would be appreciated, I have a pair of HS70 Wireless pc gaming headset.
I’m using Dolby atmos to drive spatial sound. I’m on an Acer Nitro 5 AN515-54, Discord is on its latest version so are WOW, Drivers, and Windows. While doing Expeditions with my friend the audio from my mic would stop after 10-15 seconds.

I went through and made sure discord had access to my microphone and that all sound settings were in order on Windows. Is this an issue with the way party chat works in WOW? I think remember seeing a post talking about how wow party chat doesn’t take mic input unless you activate it so maybe that’s not it.

Some sort of back-end bug for pulling the mic source? or headset QC issue? This only happens when doing Expeditions with my friend. Sorry for the ramble just frustrating when a new 100$ headset comes with troubleshooting. Thanks in advance! Have an awesome day.

Maybe there’s a tech support discord for discord?

Prob not going to get much help here. Most people use the superior WoW voice chat (joking)

Are you trying to use Discord and WoW’s voice chat at the same time?

If so, turn one of them off.

My brother is having the same problem. We’ve gamed together using discord for years now but recently WoW doesn’t like voice chat other than the in game one. Discord cuts out just like you said, we tried the battle.net launcher voice chat and it crackles to the point I can’t hear what he’s saying. In game voice chat works but it gives old ventrilo bad quality vibes. Can’t find how to fix it and all answers people have come up with either haven’t helped or are misunderstanding the problem.
