How do you know “everyone” quit, it’s words like this that makes the haters sound salty. Use more precise language, is there proof that mass amounts of people quit during those expansions? And let’s say they did quit, Asmongold kept the remaining players there and gave them something to watch/do which kept them in the WoW universe one way or another.
Anyway you look at it, he’s a blessing to the community.
He is the single biggest WoW content creator in the market, he doesn’t even have to play WoW to still be regarded as a WoW creator as that is how impactful he was in the success of WoW.
I’d start my own stream too, but I decided to not be a social media star. My friend was trying hard to get us going on Justin. tv with our Fallout 3 antics
I’d probably be a millionaire, probably not. But I do a lot of what ifs these days…

I like Asmon actually, but I feel sorry for those who feel the need to suck up to him with simpering forum topics. I suspect he just laughs at them, if he pays attention at all.

Bro most of these haters are failed twitch streamers, you can see the envy when his name is brought up.
They all get visibly upset and throw tantrums, his view counts live in their heads rent free.

Asmongold is a follower who talks about things his viewers are interested in hearing him talk about.
How it didn’t happen:
- Asmongold tells his subscribers to move to FFXIV.
- His subscribers say, as one, “Yes, sir!”
How it did happen:
- His subscribers lost interest in WoW early in shadowlands, with millions of other WoW players, and told him they were moving to FFXIV.
- Asmongold follows his subscribers to FFXIV and produces content that these players now want to watch.
Anybody upset when his subscribers ask him to play Vampire Survivors, as game whose explosive growth Blizzard could only dream of?

He makes content people want to watch, he might be a follower too but in the end he is the single most influential figure to come out of WoW.
To not give him his props means that you are actively admitting to be jealous and envious of his success, either that or you’re a hater

I watched a video yesterday about amoeba that, when they run out of resources (food), smoosh together then travel in a sluglike formation to a new area where they then sacrifice the weak so the strong can survive.
I will now forever think of those amoeba formations as Ted Cruz.

Truth. I’m not being jealous or envious at all. I watch some of his videos, and sometimes he has good points to make. The guy is a highly successful entertainer who has found a niche where people pay him to play videogames while he rambles.
But when so many players were getting bored with wow, there was no “mind control” by him that resulted in so many perfectly happy wow players leaving wow, as those who post anti-asmongold threads claim.
