Asmon got me into wow in bfa but i think the game wouldnt die if he left i do like his content and watch his streams whenever i have time but saying “oh the game would die without him” just isnt true… he did leave and played ff and wow was fine

I think what they found out is sometimes he opens threads from the GD to see what some players think of a certain situation.

Research tells me Asmon didn’t start his “business” until WOD which was long after the game had started losing subscribers from their peak in WOTLK. He’s an influence now, but he had nothing to do with “birthing” WOW’s popularity.
