I have logged onto wow and was playing when a loading screen came to enter a raid but the screen stayed for about a minute without the bar moving an inch. I then force quit wow and log back on, and it says a character with that name already exists. I restart again, and it logged me in but has the loading screen again and docent budge an inch. I can log onto all of my other toons perfectly fine, but my main is blocked for some reason. I took a break and came back 30 mins later and its still a problem I cannot log onto my druid main. I have restarted my computer multiple times, and restarted wow multiple times without any results. I have waited in the loading screen up to 5 minutes without the loading bar even so much as show up. Any ideas?
I’ve had that happen before. I believe it’s an instance thing, your character is still in that instance and I imagine everyone in that group is also stuck in there otherwise once the group disbands it would let you go. If I remember, your character should be booted out of it when the server resets the dailies. If not it may take until the next server restart to get them out.
Not sure if a GM can get you out though, haven’t tried that before since by the time they got to me I was already out.
Have you posted this in the Customer support forums? I am sure someone can help. A GM is your best bet however.
Three things to try:
- Log onto another character and add your stuck character to your friend list. Wait five minutes. This often initiates a boot of your stuck character.

- Open a ticket. Ensure it says “stuck”. Stuck tickets are expedited.
