After today’s update WoW will not launch. After I click play on the launcher it briefly says game is running but nothing happens. If I try launching the game from wow.exe nothing happens.
Launch WoW. When it sais game is running wait and wait and wait. Eventually it will open and you will see that all the worlds are still offline. BUT the next time you launch you will not have to wait and wait and wait. I guess that the first time opening the game is reconfiguring stuff.
I have launched it and I am still waiting for it, its been over 30 min now.
I can see in the Task Manager, that when I click on play, world of warcraft appears for about 4 seconds before it disappears.
I don’t know then. Mine ran about 3 minutes then opened.
This was painful reading. WoW is still done for maintenance. It will not be up until 6pm EST for play. This is why your game wont play, regardless of how many times you open it up.
The servers aren’t back up yet.
Can’t get Wow to launch at all either just sitting here with it “running” in my task manager.
Check the link Jessail posted. They change the wow.exe path. Perhaps you don’t have the right permissions for it to create the /retail folder in the World of warcraft folder.
Howdy!
The servers are live now. Can you try to restart the system into Selective Startup then retest the game. If the issue continues post up your Dxdiag for review.
Thank you!
Well my game still wont launch. Nothing in the selective startup made a difference. And im not sure how to post my Dxdiag, i have the text file but i cant find an attachment button on the post.
