You may be but this game typically has been made to accommodate a lot of older pcs. Plus it is doubtful if there ever will be a WoW 2 anyway.

I don’t kow what wow would look like with ray tracing, but I know what minecraft looks like with it:
We’d be in for a real treat if wow could add Ray tracing…but like it’s been said… If your computer can handle it.

WoW needs more than a graphical update, many of the core mechanics should be upgraded to a more modern standard.

Lighting effects are one of the first things to get turned off. All they do is make it harder to see the game. No thx.

If only Blizzard allows ReShade on WoW. 
Ray tracing is terribly optimized with the current cards. Better off waiting for the next gen of cards before they try to implement anything

Nah, probably another 4 years at least. WoW doesn’t usually put in the newest features because they want older hardware to be able to run it well at good settings.

Isn’t the difference between ray tracing and no ray tracing at this point, as far as video cards go, about halving the fps with maybe something noticeable, maybe? it needs more time in the oven.
Nvidia is doubling down on ray tracing with future cards.
Yah ofc. But the current cards can barely handle it and very few games can even use it. Next gen needs to be much better
I like the idea of having ray tracing, but I think a true WoW 2 would be an MMO engine capable of holding 50k players in a single instance at the same time.
Im already running WoW at like 300 fps lol, so halving it would be no problem for me.
