After the recent patch update, WoW has not been loading properly. Upon launch, I reach a black screen with my cursor stuck on loading until the game crashes. I’ve tried many things to fix it. I’ve tried resetting my in-game settings, updating my drivers, scanning and repairing the game, reinstalling the game, and reinstalling battle.net. None of this has worked to get my game working again. This affects both retail and classic.
Update: Retail is working properly after removing the AddOns folder. I’d assume the same for classic.
i got the same issue but i dont use addons or at would those be still on the files?
didnt work for me did you just errased the file? mine was empty anyways
I had addons, so I’m not sure if it would be the same issue for you. I temporarily moved the folder and it started to work again afterward.
how do i remove the folder? I just did the update and all of a sudden it won’t let me load in. says that i have some error and it wont work.
If you paste this into File Explorer, you should be able to find it:
C:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft\_retail_\Interface
If your game is crashing this seems to be the fix in another thread. The game will crash trying to load in the game
SET synchronizeSettings “0”
past that in your config file in WTF
