You don’t give your gloves and shoes back before the next expansion, so no, normal gear is not borrowed power by definition.

You give your gloves and shoes back all the time.

Are you wearing the same gloves now as you did in the beginning of the expansion?

Vendoring isn’t the same as “giving back”.

You can’t vendor something that isn’t yours. Splitting hairs?

You can’t vendor what IS yours.

Your power doesn’t come off when you undress.

Your gear’s power is your gear’s power, not your own.

I’ll just get that fixed up for ya since we buy the expansion then have to earn the gear based off of your other comment here

In a way, it almost makes it worse

You’re moving goalposts now.

The question is what is defined as borrowed power, not what power that your gear actually has compared to yourself without the gear.

AwwwwwwWWWwwwwWWW :sob:

As someone who had everyone in the original guild I started this with leave, after playing with them since the Pre Alpha of Ultima Online, I’m familiar with this sentiment; They all moved on long ago, after initially all doing a paid transfer to some other server (from Baelgun) to have a “larger pool of prospective raiders for what we want to accomplish… blah… blah… then we’ll leave the game anyway soon after…” Glad I did not get rooked into that, after already having followed them with the free transfer to Baelgun (from overcrowded Blackhand.)

I borrowed metamorphosis from Mortis. Probably not giving it back.

Not really sure how thats moving the goalposts. He said gear was borrowed power, you’re borrowing power from the gear and its gone when you unequip it for any reason.

Electricity is borrowed power.

Okay so if the gear’s power is never yours, then you never borrow it to begin with, because the power never leaves the gear.

Better start running, he likes wearing demon hunter skulls for some weird reason. Never mind the fact that seems to have a certain (“ahem”) use for them afterwards, just look where they are on his mog

You are aware borrowing is like, explicitly using something that isn’t yours for a length of time right? Thats like, the concept of borrowing man.

Nope. It is what it is. Any power that isn’t innate to your character is borrowed power.

Really I think hes one of those guys who read an article on debate tactics and thinks throwing around terms he got from it randomly will make him sound smarter.

Are you trying to troll me, Mortis?
