It seems every time I am loading the launcher it is updating all versions of WoW (retail and classic) is anyone else having this issue.
It’s like almost similar to like when you exit a game on Steam or something and it takes a moment to upload a cloud save. But it like just keeps saying it’s updating each time I leave WoW or opening the launcher again.

Yes, I am experiencing that since yesterday morning and it’s damn frustrating. I had finally gotten tired of Shadowlands and went to the upgraded Classic - and was having a great time trying to get my lock to 30 so I could get the free warlock mount - and now this nonsense started. “Client wants your password” or similar stuff, then big problems connecting. Do I really have to be the last in line to “update” after a few million have done theirs? It’s the weekend and I want to play the game. How about it, Blizz?
Ya, I also noticed this - real annoying having these “constant” updates going in the background lately.
I’ll just be playing and then “suddenly” the game starts to be choppy/stuttery due to a surprise update that decided to initiate itself 
Blizzard knows , there is a post about it in the tech forum, they are working on it
The way to get around it, when it starts disconnecting you, too: don’t use Bnet app. Just go into your retail folder and start the game from wow.exe

this is a DCOM permissions error. you should have this error or something like it in Event viewer. The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Server application with CLSID

This isn’t working for me. I can’t play the game. It won’t launch. I’ve already posted everything I’ve done in the main thread about this, but I want to keep all of these threads at the top. I am beyond frustrated.
happening to me on ALL versions of WoW. I exit the game, bam update. So very odd.

I recently noticed the same issue is happening to me, whenever I turn on the launcher again, all versions of the game start to update…
tried restarting my PC updates with no data seem to take longer?
Getting annoying…same thing has been happening to me for days now…I hope this gets fixed…Classic, BC and Shadowlands update every time I open the app and after exiting the game…
