WoW unable to start up 3D acceleration

While questing Preparation for Ceremony
Killed a Harpie, and was engaged by another Harpie.
Suddenly, the screen went black, after a few moments, it flickered back, then went black again, did this several times. Then received the error message as stated above in title.
In between black, returned to normal screen with an AMD error report, did this two or three times. I have photos but don’t see how to attach them. Drivers have been updated.

This is a really sucky way to lose a character in Hard Core, all events beyond and outside of player’s control. A loss due to technical issues should be reinstated.
