WoW + Twitch Drops Eligibility as a Viewer, a thread

Hi Community,

Just a guide provided by @LHP64D

Link your Battlenet to your Twitch Account.

Watch or sub to your favorite streamer.

Go to Drops & Rewards via your Twitch notifications to claim your drop.

Login to the WoW region you want your drops to go to.

Enjoy.

To link your http://Battle.net account to Twitch; Login to BattleNet > Account Settings > Connections > Twitch > +Connect

Watch, or gift 2 subs (for Ichabod) to, your favorite eligible streamer.

The streamer must have their drops turned on & be streaming in the World of Warcraft category.

Once you’ve watched for X time, or gifted 2 subs, you get a notification on your Twitch dashboard at the top right.

It will mention you are now eligible to get the drop.

Simply click it & claim your drop.

Note: The drop MUST be claimed within 7 days or else it expires!

Dashboard, is where the drops will go.

There can also be up to a 24 hour delay on receipt of the goods in-game so patience is a virtue.

Only thing I’m fuzzy on is knowing if a streamer has Drops enabled. Will it say anywhere on their profile or on the video overlay if they are active?

I don’t use twitch, because when I have time for games I’m playing them, not watching others play them!

As easy as it all seems to be, i find it a little corporate sellout/demeaning to feel in any way compelled to watch a stream of someone else playing a game that i’d rather just be playing myself.

Well aware we can just minimize it and go about our day, just stating how it feels :woman_shrugging:

Oh I wont be watching, I’ll be at work  but I’ll take the freebies

the streamer will usually write ā€œDROPSā€ in their title if their viewers will be eligible for drops.

so just look for one of those streams and you’ll be good… you can even type in their chat and ask if drops are enabled, you should get a response there as well.

I don’t have a twitch account. This offer is not changing that.

I got mine in a pack at msrp years ago. Enjoy having to sit through 4 hours of muted boredom my friends :upside_down_face:

Guys it not this complicated  , just set up a notification alert on twitch when the streamer is streaming and you are good to go .

You can even do this at work , keep one tab of your phone or pc for the stream and do anything else you want to do.

How I have done all my ow2, cod, new world twitch drops lol.

Tbh I just go to the drop page where you can see your progress and right next to it " To continue the progress, go to a participating live channel" - click that link and profit.

Thanks OP, that first pic is now my desktop wallpaper, no way I’m gonna forget now.

That’s a fantastic infographic.

I hope everyone is remembering to do this.

I still have no idea how to tell who does and doesnt have drops enabled.

So who are the eligible streamers?

I don’t usually do Twitch (I’m only on it because my friend was trying to get in on it, and failed miserably at it, but I still have my account).

So getting ā€˜in the know’ with who’s who…WHO do I need to watch* for 4 hours to get the pet and mount?

*And by watch, I mean mute and mini the stream and AFK for the whole afternoon.
