Wow tokens are NFTs

with all the rage against NFTs it’s strange to me because we already have it with the WoW Token but for the most part everyone is ok with it just something to think about

Wow token isn’t an NFT, the wow token actually has value and a use.

FOMO bling is closer to NFT’s.

I thought about this as well, its a form of digital currency so its closer to a cryptocurrency than an NFT.

The WoW token itself isn’t the NFT because you have to get rid of it as soon as you buy it, not a great investment imo. I agree with the above poster that gold is more of a cryptocurrency (though missing many properties of most cryptocurrencies like decentralization or a blockchain) than an NFT.

If this isn’t a troll, I hope OP is wearing a helmet

There is no difference from 1 gold then the other gold, it is extremely fungible. Gold is nothing like an NFT.

so do people not know what NFTs and cryptocurrencies are?

do they just see digital thing and think “woah bro, that’s totally like bitcoin/terrible monkey picture!”

I hate NFTS. But I don’t think you know what that word means OP

Take a look at the highest price paid for an NFT.
USD 91.8 Million.
There is also an active marketplace for these pixels.
The modern world is a wild place.

This has got to be the dumbest thing I have read all day.

that’s not what NFTs are. You aren’t buying pixels.

you’re buying a digital code that’s unique to that specific database.

the picture is just a representation of that code that you in no way own.

(that’s a very simplified explanation of what NFTs are)

More proof that no one really knows what an NFT even is.

Right on, do you also trade?

Technical explanation: a block chain node that indicates that records a person’s right to own a link to a piece of art that is infinitely copyable.

More basic explanation: a scam

People in the past: “In the future, people will pay millions of dollars for things that don’t even actually exist in the real world.”

People even farther in the past: “People right now donate millions for things that don’t even actually exist in the real world, praise the Lord”

Well I already knew that part lol

From paper to pixels to code to huge sums of real world currency.
Does that sound better?
Seems active enough though.

And yet it always bears repeating

Not sure why its hard for people to realize that it’s like selling the Brooklyn bridge. You can buy a piece of paper that says you own the right to point at the bridge… it doesn’t mean you own the bridge.

Tell me you don’t know what a NFT is without telling me you don’t know what an NFT is.

The OP nailed it.
