Wow token question

So, if I wanted to give my brother some game time, I’d have to buy two Wow tokens to give him it? Since he has no active time, I can’t just mail him the gold for his own token and it seems you can only gift 60 days of game time? Am I missing something?

Thanks.

You can gift Blizzard Balance.

You can’t gift the gold if he can’t log in.
Trial accounts can’t use mailboxes or ah.

Gifting a balance is the only way if he has no time

Thanks folks.

Edit: And you can’t actually gift balance with Wow gold. Damn it. Well, that’s 187k I just wasted.

Just convert the token to Blizz balance and give ~future you~ a discount on Dragonflight? :stuck_out_tongue: A token is never truly useless!

Yeah, it’s pretty stupid that they took out 30 days of game time. None of the kiddos in my family play anymore, because they couldn’t buy a month at a time.

I’ll just wait for the mounts to be discounted to $15, then actually use it then.

You can’t “discount” on anything, because you have to pay entirely in Bnet balance or not at all.

Oh no… I got here too late.

Gifting Balance requires a new payment that goes straight to the person you gift to. They also may have to be on your friends list a certainly number of days. Further, they only sell game time in 60 day chunks now, so it would have to be the 60 day sum + any taxes and fees for his area. https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/20311

You CAN gift gold sort of. Your brother can put in a ticket to get a day of game time from CS as an exception - to coordinate with you to get gold from you to buy a token.

That is not a guaranteed thing, but if someone has not ever asked before, they very often will grant a bit to let you send the gold and have him get it. They also sometimes grant it to help people clear out mailboxes and such when doing transfers or other services.

Yeah, he just went ahead and paid for a month for himself. Thanks for trying to be helpful though Mirasol, not your fault you got here too late to stop me from doing a big dumb.

Just need to slash some of my prices to make back that gold. :pensive:

Check out game key stores like Eneba (I buy 60 day cards for $15-$20)

You can always just venmo/cashapp/zelle/etc… $15 to him and he can pay with whatever card he has.

The point was not to spend real money on my end, but thank you!

You can give him bnet balance but not a token. When you buy a token from the store the only places you can put it is your bags, or the AH. They can’t be traded. When you buy one from the AH you can only put it in your bags or claim it for game time.

But you can buy two tokens, turn them into $30 of Bnet Balance and then spend that to gift them 60 days game time.

Yes… I believe you can purchase/hold up to 20 * correction. and you can buy that many every 7 days
