Yeah I don’t get this post from OP. I farm gold every single day via selling mats on AH. Casually I make 10k minimum with average 12-15k a week and if I wanted to actually dedicate some real time to it I could easily make that if not twice the amount in a day.
Also that is just doing mats on AH, if I bothered with WQs or Garrison I could probably be making even more.
Gold making is easier now then it has ever been thanks to the AH having some items linked to all servers.
I’ve made roughly 2mm gold this xpac on a mix of AH, orders, and dragon WQ. AH was my largest income source and the only income source that works for me while I’m away.
That’s only having 1 main toon that I generate income with, this rogue is my only max crafter. My warrior has max gathering but I don’t bother with it - I just wanted something to do during queues. I collectively made less than 20k while leveling herb/mining. My m+ roster are all gold sinks (mog, repair, crafts, etc nchwnts, consumables). I may do an occasional 1-2 WQ while I’m waiting on a key to fill when I queue as a dps spec which is rare. I play mostly tanks and healers and sit in vald.
I play very casually, with no mod management to further increase profitability. I run weak auras, BDM, and details. I keep some notes on my desk for stuff I may want to go farm/craft to post on AH.
Enough for almost a year of free playtime if I timed my token purchases semi intelligently (which you would if you subbed via gold).
I mean…if I had a single toon and didn’t mog much, I could play this game for free with <10 hours played a week…I drop 3-8k a week on mog alone it seems. By far my biggest sink.
Still waiting for a citation. Go use the way back machine if it was originally in the token “ToS.” I already shared what’s current with Blizzard and the token which contradicts what you’re saying. Yet you keep saying it. So prove it.
The wow token is just Blizzard creating real money out of thin air, the gold is already there though…not sure if you’re dense or just trolling. I’ll go with the latter.
Player A (who pays for the token with real money) puts it on the AH. Player B buys the token off the AH with gold they already have. After the AH takes its cut, player A now has gold. The gold is only changing hands, it isn’t being created out of thin air.
Game time is cheaper than a token, a player is still paying for it but Blizzard is essentially creating $5 out of nothing is all I meant. Let’s not get off topic though. No gold is being created, it already exists and just goes from player A to player B.
Taking things out of context makes you look like a liar, you should avoid doing that.
Extra note: Alright so spent an hour to farm easy herbs in Burning Steppes and made 3,900. so 6 hours would be 23,400 and 7 days 163,800.
This is also without using any boost to gathering. just good old fly, gather and repeat. Another thing is mining can be as high as 3x that and again if you add WQs and Garrison to your daily routine earning gold is insanely easy.
Only thing that stops you from earning more gold is yourself.
so we have a small army of gold farmers stocking up on wow tokens for game time? The type of person that has the time to do this or is willing to hate themself enough to farm gold in wows current economy is very rare
They dont buy tokens for thier gold, they borrow it from other players in exchange for carries and gear later on. This is how the RWF guilds get so much gold for consumables and events. Way more effiecint this way.
Rich AH player gives Limit 10m gold. Limit used that gold to gear and flask/pot guild. After race, AH player gets carried through tier, gets geared up with CE at the end. Both sides happy.
Players than guessed how much gold was traded this way and came up with a number then converted it to token price.
They may have used that dollar amount of tokens worth of gold, but they didnt buy them.
Edit: Also sell runs after the race and during the season to also earn gold to pay back sime debts aswell
yes he has. After they got world first at the end of BFA he mentioned spending over $100,000 on wow tokens live on his stream. The game is absolutely p2w and if you can’t understand that I have no idea how to explain anything to you.
I use WoW tokens for game time and other things. I recently faction changed with 2 tokens. “Hate them self enough”. It took little effort to earn that gold tbh. I bet you run circles in cities waiting in queues for content for the same amount of time it took me to “farm” that gold.
I think you’re more upset that you personally can’t make gold off the AH like you used to. Blizzard merged all North America servers together for things like materials and reagents and prices plummeted. Without AH addons, you’re likely not going to make gold off selling mats anymore. You just gotta know what to farm and what is making gold.
Either way, the WoW token isn’t why you’re not making gold. Me using tokens for faction changes or race changes has nothing to do with you not making gold.
