No thanks. I like being able to buy a token whenever I get low to completely negate my having to do any questing, etc. for gold.

i like farming gold…but it just seems so pointless now that i can buy gold with money…it makes the game p2w since you can just buy whatever gear or arena rating you want now

You think people weren’t paying for things before the WoW token became a thing? Lol People did RMT and bought gold from third party websites loooooooong before there were WoW tokens. For that matter you can/could just buy a glad or R1 account straight off a website if you want to and skip the hassle of getting boosted.

Blaming boosts on the WoW token is like blaming obesity on food existing.

This has always been a thing. I refuse to farm and before tokens I’ve bought a lot of gold without any issue

Sorry, no. What’s ruined the game is poor development, management and an overall indignant attitude towards the player base. Blizzard destroyed their game by lack of vision and imagination.

Players literally gift them feasible and thoughtful fixes to issues for FREE, and their hubris won’t allow them to look past their own personal failures.

I honestly don’t know if this could have been said anymore perfectly. Well done.

Kek jokes on you, you still have to do the questing for all the borrowed power systems :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Now imagine all the questing, etc. I would have to do to earn the hundreds of thousands of gold I’ve spent buying leggos on toons, etc. Sounds like I still cut my time investment by a pretty wide margin.

It’s up to us Doors to educate these Zoomers, and teach them proper sentence structure as well as cursive.

Lol why would they remove a cash cow

It’s kind of wild to me that in another generation or two cursive will be like a dead language. lol

when the best gear comes having the best ratings, you can be sure that you end up with a system where more ppl will be encouraged to buy boosts/pilots so they can get every little advantage that they can

sl gearing system is awfull for many reasons, boosts is one of them

The way society is devolving. They’re going to sign their name by smearing ink on their forehead and slamming it on to a piece of paper.

Or Dozer is the first step in human devolution, and their signature will be a series of gibberish and emojis. Either way, I hope I’m dead by that point.

You and me both, brother, you and me both. My kid just started school–can’t wait until a few years from now when he’s walking in dropping some alien vernacular on me and asking for clothes that make him look like some sort of intergalactic clown. lol

While I want to believe hubris is the case, I have to disagree. The design decisions appear to stem from the gaming industry’s focus on “whales” rather than the average player. It’s not just AB, it’s an industry wide issue.

Our subs don’t matter so much as the person who subs AND buys all the mounts on the store, and repeatedly pays for micro-transactions. More time spent, more hurdles = more likely to pay to jump the line.

That doesn’t directly apply to arena, but hopefully the example illustrates their entire design philosophy since end of legion / BFA.

The token thing is a double edged sword. Blizz isn’t going to get your accounts hacked cause of a 3P website, but the token continues to be a check mark on enabling the micro-transaction black hole.

Yeah, people used to pay to have R1’s log into their accounts and literally play their character for them. Those were the Wild West days before they really cracked down on piloting!
