Over the past week or so I’ve tried to install WoW and all that happens is that it gets stuck on “Initializing”.
I’ve tried all of the proposed fixes I’ve found, reinstalling Battle.net launcher, changing region, swapping to / from the beta launcher, deleting all temporary files / cache’d information for battle.net and wow, etc.
I just had the same issue, with it either stuck on initializing or stuck on saying it was updating.
I closed the Bnet app, restarted computer, re-openned the Bnet app, and then was able to install Dragonflight.
I am having the same issue. I have uninstalled, WoW, Battle.net, Add-on Managers, Disabled Antivirus, restarted computer several times and still it gets stuck at initializing and will not run. I even reset my router, and issue persists.
Disabled security software, made a new windows administrator account and tried to play the game on that?
If you got through everything including the advanced troubleshooting and it didn’t help you’d probably want to make a ticket. The forums don’t have a guaranteed blue response, and your issue is probably a bit more involved to figure out. You could post a dxdiag here, it may turn up something, but this is often security software related or a Windows permissions issue.
Instead of installing from the Bnet app, have you tried going to GAMES -list on top of page, toggle down and click on the download for WoW - which pops up from the download option?
