Wow should borrow gw2's spell interactions

I fling a fireball towards a monster thats with 2 others around the tank. If the monster dies while the spell is in flight, the spell hits the air next to the 2 others and does nothing. In Guild wars 2, when the same thing occurs, the spell hits the other 2 monsters that are very close for part damage.
What Im saying is, even when a spell is single target, it should actually have a splash of say, 2 yards, like in gw2

Also, like in GW2, if i fire an arrow that goes through a fire spell like a wall of fire, it should turn into a fire arrow…spell interactions like that are awesome, they make fighting in a group fun because it adds another layer of complexity to the combat.

The interactions were one of the least interesting parts of GW2, it’s just dropping AOE in one spot with all the other AOEs, except then it was necessary and not just mechanically efficient.
