Can’t wait for worgen, tauren, and vulpera to not be able to wear hats.
You can swap them. Maybe you should get that Nightborne past level 10?
To say nothing of the halfassed Hrothgar race that has to pay real money to get a hairstyle while everyone else can get one for free–because the XIV devs welded the faces to the hairstyles, lmao. It’s been two years and no word or warnings about that. That’s not shady or anything.
I honestly don’t get it I played final fantasy 14 for good 6 months.
it’s just not the same.
their raids and dungeons feel like nonsense.
I mean maybe if you’re down for some like super creepy RP with some weirdo dancing next to a mailbox it might be the game for you.
I don’t know why FF14 decided to use the most cringe words to describe stuff
Jobs for name of classes sounds horrible
I mean it’s what they always called classes before classes were even a thing. FF Jobs go back to the NES days.
Literally all they need from ffxiv is better transmog, color dyes for armor, player housing, and equal lvl set item lvl when doing pvp.
It could use more but if they just add this not as many people would go to ffxiv.
I would kind of like that, roleplay wise Dedaru is essentially a monk/shaman hybrid.
Don’t worry, it will be in 5 years.
I don’t mind that WoW has traditional class/race design. I was never a really big fan of some race who’s been opposed to demons having the ability to become a warlock. I.E. Draeni.
I do think there needs to be more stuff like exploratory stuff. I’m loving the fact that right now leveling is a combination of doing the hunters log, which takes me to a new zone in my level range, doing the quests there, and repeating the leve quests, then onto the story piece. Small things like that are a lot more cool.
You know, I was fine with the WoW system, up until BFA and then SL. They’ve been designing things in such a way that being able to just switch / train up a class on the same character could alleviate a lot of the friction they keep adding for those that play alts.
You mean like how FFXIV tried to clone WoW?
I want nothing of FFXIV in WoW. FFXIV is a horrible mmo. I can give a list why, but I have enough and don’t feel like typing it all out again. Plus it is just my opinion like this is your opinion.
God no,
WoW has enough charm to set itself aside from XIV, but the issue is mainly retention and the systems that only hold the player back for starting late. It’s nice that there’s catch-up mechanics for anima stuff but that doesn’t mean a lot when most of what you need is locked behind M+ content and FOTMing in arenas.
They don’t need to shamelessly copy everything XIV has done, but it would be better to ‘take notes’ more or less.
What are you talking about? The jobs and their upgrades are completely fine.
I’m still here
Considering that FFXIV wouldn’t exist if it wasn’t for WoW, I really don’t think WoW should be turning into a FFXIV clone.
I mean think for a moment. When was the last time you saw or heard of a WoW clone (and I mean an actual clone, with very similar systems and classes) actually succeed? I can think of two that directly tried to clone WoW’s success. RIFT and Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning. Both didn’t succeed, with the former now in the hands of a publisher that has become an MMO graveyard and the latter being shut down entirely and only existing now on private servers.
And you want WoW to go down that route but with Final Fantasy instead?
I tried FF at the end of BfA, It needs some QoL changes before I play it again.
Man yall down bad for WoW. You don’t have to defend the game so hard because you are afraid of the last 15 years of your life being for nothing.
I love FFXIV, but this is becoming a meme now. There are plenty of FFXIV threads in the off-topic section. Did we need another here? They’re just going to move it over in a couple of days when the mods decide to do their weekly once-over on the forums.
