Correct, I just canceled. Shadowlands looks awful. Crafting is worthless, quests are boring and without any good lore, the game is easy, talent trees are terrible and cookie cutter.

it’s not a “personal issue” it’s specifically that i think they are dumbing down their new games.
the reason wow is still more complex is because it is old and that is more the nature of an mmo…
but blizzards new ips and new games are dumbed down is the point

World of WarCraft has never been better. I’ve been here since 2004, subscribed the entire time, and the only time I was happier was during MoP, which was literally my personal fantasy come to life.

I believe so. I just canceled after watching the promo. Crafting is worthless now, cookie cutter terrible talents with no good talent trees, questing is boring without and good lore, the game is really easy as well. So, later WoW
I’m waiting to hear what platform availability D4 will get. I mean obviously PC, but is there also a console version coming. I’m really liking D3 on my Switch.

Didn’t want to come back to the sh*t post this has devolved in to. But the fact that you think current WoW has ANY complexity is crazy. At least in D3 you have the ability to min/max and Pick your spec. You dont have to play the exact same build as every other person in the game. It’s not cookie cutter and the best build wheel changes every week.

i play wow because it is a strategic team game with pvp and more content.
diablo as a game is just boring…and why would i play it over a more complex game like POE.
also wow is the most hardcore mmo overall so…that’s the biggest reason i play it.
but i think if you look at how classes interact in wow, the content, and variety of different classes…it is more complex than diablo for sure.

If you liked WoW better in the past, cool. Go play Classic. Tastes vary, I suppose, so you’re entitled to your view point. However, Vulpera alone make retail superior. Death Knights for all make retail superior. Hell, the existence of playable Death Knights makes retail superior.
I can’t imagine why anyone would enjoy Classic, but if you do, cool. Go to those forums and stay off ours.
I didn’t like Vanilla all that much, so I’ll pass. Thought Guild Wars and City of Heroes were better, if we’re talking about contemporary games back in 04/05.
You haven’t expanded your horizons on MMO’s much then. Theres a ton of way more complex, hardcore and elitist if you will, games on the market now. The first 2 that come to mind are Final Fantasy and the newly released Archeage Unchained (220+ classes btw). I am not saying D3 is a great game. It’s super old and out dated and the teams working on it have all been pulled away for years now. I also have just gotten in to PoE and love it. But it still gives me more control over my character than ive had in WoW since TBC/ICC.
Do you really not see the contraction here? Also there is nothing “complex” about WoW. It’s a dungeon crawler at this point. You’re just being biased and making your stance based on emotion rather than logic. And because all logic is out the window here I guess there’s really no point in debating it anymore.
death knight is the worst class in the game right now…

if they somehow make the class into what it was pre prune ok.

Attacking my computer specs first thing is a weird flex, since you don’t know them and nobody brought up computers. I mean, you got my generation wrong right off the bat, but I get why “Boomer” is a popular insult and I use it often myself.
Still, the low specs thing seems more like projecting than anything else. Is your PC giving you trouble? Maybe it’s time to upgrade.
I love Pandas, and I don’t particularly care who shares what. All I know for certain is that more options are always better than fewer options.
I love current DKs. Slow, boring, and thematic is my jam.
My favorite classes are DH, DK, and Warlock.
it’s complex because it’s a team game and the content is challenging. and the mechanics are complex.

for one there aren’t even really roles and no teamwork involved
