WoW’s player versus player combat is arguably the most fun I’ve had in online gaming. There are other games where I had plenty of fun, some totally obscure, and others just as popular, but WoW really is maybe the most fun I’ve had (especially solo). It’s a ‘fix’ that I have to satisfy. After playing for years it’s like having a skill I can always return to. I’ve loved every rendition of it. Getting destroyed and mopping the floor with peeps. Tons of fun. It had so much charm.
Am I the only one here? I would genuinely get excited for WoW’s PvP. I’m speaking generally in a more broad sense of PvP (mostly my mind on Classic) rather than the current state. Just reminiscing.
I enjoy PvP in WoW. Not sure if you’ve been playing SoD and are familiar with the STV Bloodmoon event, but it’s been super fun, for me. I enjoy arenas as well, and am considering whether to level a couple of characters for Cata Classic specifically for arenas (to match the classes I main in WoW Classic: SoD).
Aside from WoW, I think my recent favorite PvP games have been APEX Legends, and I’ve actually been enjoying The Finals a lot lately, too.
It’s been a long time since I played Starcraft, but that was was back in the day, and so were LLDs in D2!
I’ve not played SoD just yet. I dunno why, I think it has something to do with the phases. It’s good to hear your feedback tho I might have to step in now with the final phase coming and an active experience boost. We’ve got very similar tastes! Lookin forward to Cata as well just hoping they keep Wrath in the meantime.
