WoW Premium for RSS?

Do you think we’ll ever see WoW Premium for like $20 or $25 a month that lets you have priority queues? As someone with a full time job and other IRL responsibilities 30 minute Ret queues aren’t really an option and I’d rather just pay for a fast pass to the front

Thoughts?

Yeah true but I have alot more fun as ret and don’t think I’d look good with gray hair LOL

Hey Carl, great first post and I couldn’t agree more. I would gladly pay an additional $30 per month for priority queues on all of my plate melee.

Thank you Exalter! I am taken aback by the support I have received on my first post in the Arena Community :green_heart:

Would it be cool? yeah, would it fix the issue? Not likely.

All it would do is increase the wait time for non premium users, which in turn would drastically lower the number of people who queue rss. Imagine having to wait an hour or more to play a round of rss because you refuse to pay the premium price. The extra money they gain in premium sub fees would be wiped out by cancelled accounts.

The solution isn’t to ruin a large majority of the players gaming experience, the solution is to fix the main issue, lack of healers.

I’ve made this suggestion before and I’ll make it again because I feel it needs repeating. Make dampening scale at different rates depending on rating. Start of with the standard 3s dampening up to 1800, then another tier at 1801-2100, another from 2101-2400, and finally one for 2401+.

This allows healers to actually heal and learn how and when to use their cd’s at a much slower pace. It will make dps have to learn how and when to cc and when to burst.

Yes it would increase game times in the lower bracket, but nothing feels worse as a healer than losing to dampening because your dps cannot get a kill.

This sounds good in your head, until you realize that most wow players have plenty of disposable income and would similarly pay the same premium for shorter queues.

For the ones that couldn’t afford or refuse to pay out of principle, they would most likely just quit or not queue shuffle at all.

Your queues would ultimately stay the same (or mostly) because the majority if not all are paying the premium, or they would get worse.

You want faster queues, play a healer. If you don’t want to heal, then beg blizzard for some huge healer specialization perks (e.g., I’m still shocked at how pathetic their attempts at providing perks this expansion were).

Exclusive mounts, bad a$$ mogs, awesome toys, boat loads of gold, an oh yeah, priority queues for their dps alts. These would be a start to get your queue times down.

Continue to enjoy those long queues brother :sunglasses:

Sounds like a “them” issue

Then make it even higher, money isn’t an issue for me but time is

Nah, it’ll effect you as well. Short term gain, long term pain. Like bourbons laid out, they would stay the same or actually get longer very shortly after implementing the change.

Probably not, but it does surprise me they don’t charge more for Wow.

wow mobile will be out sooner than that

Then just raise it to like $40 or $50 so only a few can afford it

Ah yes, that’s how you fix things. You sound like those people who say, “if you are struggling to afford gas, just buy a tesla”

One of those “great” ideas that reward blizavision devs for not doing their job properly.

Lol thanks? That’s honestly super good advice imo

Again, for everyone that isn’t concerned about the money, they will pay the premium, and your queues won’t meaningfully change.

Many more will just as likely quit as you try to price them out of getting a fair queue whether they can’t afford it or just don’t want to pay it, and your queues won’t meaningfully change (or they will get worse).

I’ve always thought this to be a funny thing to say. Imo money and time are directly proportional to one another. If you have an issue with one, then you have an issue with the other [e.g., if you don’t have enough time to play the game as much as you’d like because you have to work so much to support your lifestyle and/or family, then money is an issue for you].

The above sentiment of course doesn’t apply if you’re a trust fund kid, have parents paying all your bills, you’re retired and chillin, or you already have enough money that you don’t need to work for the rest of your life.

If you have to work, then money is an issue.
