WoW not responding

Greetings,

This has been a horrible update.

The application constantly freezes and I have to force quit the game. It seems to happen if I try to skip a cut scene, log out while mounted and exit the game entirely.

About the only way I can get the game to shut down properly is to dismount, log out to the character screen and then back out to the main title screen and select quit.

Please address these issues. I’ve been back in the game now for a year and haven’t had the game locked up once until today it happened at least five times.

Having this exact same problem, hasn’t crashed in years…

I’m hanging with a beach ball every time I log out now.

The same is happening to me. I’m running 10.14.6 (18G95). It happens with out-of-date addons enabled and disabled. I ran sample, and it looks like a couple of threads are contending on a lock.

For those comfortable with Terminal, I recommend you likewise run sample and attach it to a formal bug report so it gets to the devs.

Thank you, @Berad, for a potential workaround. I will try that with my next login.

Oh, I’ve also had it happen on activating party sync. Basically always on logout, sometimes on zoning, once on party sync.

Yea it’s getting pretty ridiculous. While I am not surprised it hasn’t happened yet, even a blue post acknowledging this would be nice.

Same issues. I can usually log out and quit the game, but never just quit without freezing the game.

Hearthing, zoning, and watching in-game cinematics to the end are also frequent triggers for having to force-quit.

For what it’s worth, I’m running a late 2015 iMac on OS 10.13.6, 4 GHz Intel Core i7, AMD Radeon R9 M395X 4096 MB.

Consider consolidating this with: With 8.2.5 'not responding' wih toon hop - #50 by Boomofdoom-kilrogg
