I have seen a good number quit already. In fact, the two guilds I am in never recovered the players that left from Shadowlands.
Or maybe even a model to sub to only play on one realm , or # characters for 5.99 a month instead , just more options to get people in

Yeah it would be a shame if the FTP community came in here.
They would be nowhere near as helpful or polite as the WoW community is. That’s one thing we’ve got going for us: You will never find as kind, polite, and altruistic a group of uniquely cultured and accepting players as you will here playing World of Warcraft.
What can I say, when you have a company that actually cares about it’s players and shares it’s impressive values and demonstrates it’s impeccable virtue daily under the leadership of a true moral paragon like Bobby Kotick it just gathers the best types of people.
If Free to Play players came in here they would probably just start saying controversial things and fill trade chat with racial and political slurs. I’m glad we don’t have a game like that where random players will just harass each other through the anonymity of the internet.

I feel free to play can potentially end up costing more in the long run. If this game went FTP, they would first already have a plan in place to compensate for all the lost subscription funds.
Additionally, many games that go FTP are in a place that if they don’t go FTP, they’re going to fold. I know there is an argument here for SWTOR making this move, but I feel that game is raking SW fans over the coals with it’s cash shop.
I Just can’t see the value this game turns over if it goes FTP. I don’t feel there is enough consideration going into how the game would function as both a game and a business once that can of worms gets cracked.
But they bought a token because they CHOSE to. They did not have to do so in order to play the game.
At least there isn’t “exciting content” like Azerite neck level grinds, essence grinds, corruption grinds, cloak level grinds, etc.
Remember how “exciting” warfronts were? Remember how exciting island “expeditions” were?
The absolute worst. You couldn’t just play the game, you had to go do whatever they told you to do that patch. Whether that was farm rares in nazjatar across all your characters for 75 rep a kill to get the revered essences or do dailies in uldum and pandaland, you had to do it becuase 50% of your character’s progression was now locked behind terrible, boring, awful “exciting content”
It’s ok to be wrong.
F2P mmo’s are terrible, just like this idea.
Microsoft might make it part of a pass, who knows?
As if botting wasn’t already a huge issue.

Before coming to WoW I have played many F2P games and it is funny to me that people think WoW now and WoW F2P will be the same thing. With our sub we get a ton of things that normally would be on the cash shop in the game:
Extra Character slots
90% of the mounts we have would be cash shop
Cosmetics
Barber Shop cash shop token to use
The best buff food in the shop or having the items to make it in the shop
Extra bag and bank slots
Transmog needing cash shop items to use it
Those are the not so scummy things that F2P games do. It could get worst.

F2P is only a temporary way to revive a game like this. In the short term it will increase the population, bringing in people who normally wouldn’t buy the expansion and pay a sub. But over the long term, the devs will need to focus on ways to bring in the most money and will spend a lot of their time fluffing up the cash shop rather than create engaging content. Players eventually leave for the next F2P garbage with better graphics.
There are plenty of F2P games on the market. Go play them. Tower of Fantasy looks good for you.

Even Walmart pays higher now my dude.
The game would benefit greatly with a F2P model.
I think the xpac is fun so far, having a good time PvPing if you aren’t having fun maybe you should quit and play something else.

Why do you care if people have opinions on how to make the game better?
The average walmart hourly pay rate is 13.34 an hour according to recent national stats.
That’s quite a difference from 18.
