The ping system in League is one of the best iteration of quick chat
I think having something like that in game would be great. It could have things like “taunt!”, “Move boss”, “Hero/Lust”

People already do this with addons and macros.
But it could become integrated without third party tools
Macros are not third party tools.
There is no macro to make a wheel of different preset options
No, but you can place them in a completely dedicated action bar specifically for macros.
Just read the chat. Or the leader sends a screen-wide text message.
You could make macro shouts.
It’s to make it easier to send messages, not read them

It has nothing to do with awareness. I don’t want to type when I’m playing.
Having quick chat options that are accessible with a hotkey is a great idea.

Yeah I agree.
Chats nice for when you’ve got time to sit down and type out of combat, but I think the game would benefit greatly from in-game context pings.
Stuff like taunt (target).
Move to (location)
Interrupt (Target)
Use object.
Lust/BattleRes/Raid Cooldown
And so on.
it’s just an idea, that would be probably optional to use.
why are so many people so hellbent on finding holes in a harmless idea that would improve the game for some?
if there’s an addon for that, it’s probably because people think it’s useful.
i mean im doing 17-18 keys rn without a single word being said no problem and then when its time to raid were on voice. the only communication happening outside of raid is “hey” and “gg” lol
i really dont see a need for this. and id rather not play with ppl who would need this. i want them to be aware at all times on their own.
that being said its def in the range of what addons can do. you could write it or commission someone to do it - i just dont think it would be popular tho.

I think you should broaden your horizons then.
Communication wheels are amazing tools for communicating in fast paced games without needing to stop and type or hoping that someone intuitively understands what you want.
you dont need these hints if youre aware of whats happening.
i feel like you want to make it easier to play with ppl that have zero awareness. like an accessibility addon.
you can totally do that - i just dont think its something required to be in the base game , addons could do that.
