WoW mentioned in a TV show

Anyone find it weird hearing WoW mentioned in a show? Was watching Season 4 of Shameless - apparently this was from 2014, but there was a brief conversation about gaming and WoW was one of the games that got mentioned. I know there’s been shows like Big Bang Theory where they play either a game implied to be WoW or a game very similar to WoW. What shows do you know of that WOW was mentioned in? Oh, but I know one of the most popular was South Park.

No clue, I don’t watch much TV lol.

Not a show, but it comes up in Zombieland.

American Dad mentioned Overwatch and Destiny 2 in the past, and in Big Bang Theory there is an episode where they do fully play WoW and Howard flirts with a “female” troll

There was a new game show ( sorry dont remember which one it was, but its recent ) where a couple had said they met playing WOW online. And i believe the quote was " turns out it’s not just for killing dragons".

and sheldon gets his account hacked lol

I think it was Stargate SG1 or Atlantis where they mentioned they had a WoW server. One character said they had a character that was 75, level cap was 70 at the time.

South Park, Ben 10 had a game called Craft of War, Victorious had a character named Sinjin Vancleef, whose name is a direct reference to Sen’jin Village and Edwin Van cleef, Tuff Puppy had World of Ratcraft.

I’ve heard a lot of people say they don’t like culture references in media because it “dates” it but I quite like it.

I love reading a story or watching my favorite show and they mention something I like  I always feel happy, like, “hey I know that thing! I like that thing!”
