So Xal’atath is basically trying to come off as the silver surfer, dimensius is galactus, azeroth is tiamut, tyr odin mimron and the gang are the eternals, the pantheon is the other celestials, Zovaal is Thanos, “The Purpose” is the one above all.
What else is there? I know I’m missing a bunch.

A lot of WOW could be described as “HP Lovecraft meets Marvel Comics.”

Helps explain why the writing is such garbage.

I don’t know about anyone else, but I pretty much lost interest in whatever the MCU was putting out after the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie.
Saw a couple after that, but… yeah.
They stopped being good, became boring.
So why the hell are we still talking about it?
The MCU is a tiny little portion of the Comics…

… and you’ve lost me.
Stopped reading super hero comics at least a decade before the MCU was even a thing.
Unless… does the Doctor McNinja webcomic count?
Zandalar is Wakanda
We even have Otoye, that in Black Panther is Okoye.

This goes back to classic
It’s a video game. If I want the Great American Novel I’ll go read Moby Dick.

But still the biggest factor in marvels current cultural relevance
Walt Simonson used to work on the WoW comic, so you’re not wrong.
By that logic, no video game can have decent writing.
What a stupid comment lol.

Ok, give us the list of video games that have won the Pulitzer Prize based on their high quality writing.
Considering that I’m so “stupid” I have obviously missed the award that everyone but me knows about.
They have their own awards for writing lol.
If you can name a video game that won a pulitzer, it would be pretty impressive considering they don’t exist.
Yes, actually.
Yes, videos don’t have the same quality as other professional writing which is exactly why my comment is not “stupid”. No one who wants to read outstanding literature considers video games as a source. Anyone who wants to read the Great American Novel goes and picks up something like Moby Dick.
Guess unlike you we are all stupid.
No, it was definitely stupid. We are comparing video games to video games, not video games to novels.
So yes, it was an incredibly stupid comment.
The fallacy of ad hominem. If you can’t attack the message, attack the messenger. This fallacy has been known for over two thousand years as the dying gaps of someone who knows their argument is circling the drain.
There is no great writing in video games. What WoW has is not great but any other video game writing might be only marginally better if that.
