WoW Master Guide

I got the Bradygames WoW master guide 2nd edition from 2006. I have scanned the whole thing so you guys can read it. It is cool to see exactly what will be in Classic. This guide was made for 1.12. It has Naxxramas info and has a lot of fun tips and stat information, maps, gear, etc.

To download, go to this link on Archive. Archive is a website used worldwide by libraries and universities to digitize old books before they fall apart, it is perfectly safe. Put slashes in the spaces. It is case sensitive.

The PDF is 1.6 gigs. I included a compressed version that is around 150mb but it’s not as good looking.

I also uploaded the Dungeon Companion guide.

I know one version (I think 2004) already exists out there, scanned and in PDF format … because I downloaded it a year or two ago. It is monstrously huge and takes a while just to open.

I used to have that! I still might. I think it was the Dungeon guide that got recycled.

Two phrases that have always stuck in my mind:

“Sit down and drink. You need it, and it’s free!”

“The map is not the terrain!”

Very excited to see this when you finish your project!

I remember those books, I had them just because I wanted to nerd out on the toilet.

I remember buying both of these books when i first bought TBC (never had classic) to help me learn the game. Must have given them away to goodwill at some point.

Seems so antiquated to do it this way now, but it was pretty cool.

One of the nice things about that antiquated way was, when you finished the last page of the book, you knew you were done, and there were no hyperlinks making you wonder if you were still missing something.

I have scanned all the odd pages. The even ones have a streak on the scans because I needed to clean the feeder thing. I didn’t notice until I had almost finished. I am going to re-scan the even pages later today. It’s very high quality and it’s searchable. I will probably upload it to archiveorg as it is a public website.

I still had my original guide. But I bought the 2nd edition off Amazon. As well as the Atlas…and the Dungeon Companion…and the Bestiary.

Thanks again for your hard work! Let us know when it’s up and how to find because am bab need spoonfeeding.

I have always called them my Wow Bible cuz back in the day that is all the info that was out their about the game besides a couple of internet sites. My books are so dogeared and post-it marked. I recently have been re-reading them getting ready for Classic………….oh the fun of it all! :grinning:

It is completed. Tell me if there are any serious errors I missed but I think it is good.

Oh my god. I had Bradygames’ WotLK version of this book and the format is like second nature. I just got hit with a wave of nostalgia just looking at the layout of the book. It’s so amazing thank you so much for doing work on this.

• These items of the higher tiers are way above the power level of green and blue items. Anything that is purple, red, or orange is impressive! Some of these are only found once on an entire server.

Found on page 14. I wonder if there were actually red quality items that Blizzard removes. I can only think of broken items andt quests that are too hard.

Thank you for uploading this, it’s wonderful.

I think that was intended to be ‘artifact’ items that were like only one on the server or something , like ultra super rare, I vaguely remember reading something about that color quality stuff.

Red items were GM only, and never intended to be used, there weren’t many, but I remember there were warglaives with unique graphics in classic that gms could use.

That being said, there were such a thing as “one per server” artifacts in EQ, and some of them were freaking ridiculous in their OPness. And much like the legendaries of WoW, they became useless after a single expansion.

You sure? I honestly thought it was more along what I was saying? I havent looked too hard to be honest.

Huh, according to classicdb, the glaives were gold, the color of Diablo uniques, I could have sworn they were red. Memory fades I guess.

yah its an interesting subject that I remember some vague stuff about.
